Preserves your valuable vinyl!

I have been using The Last Record Preservative for the last several decades. It is a great product that claims to preserve your valuable vinyl (new or used) for 200 plays or more. It also is a terrific product to use in order to treat used vinyl. This way, you apparently prevent further wear. Finally, it may improve playback quality.

Every Record Collector Needs to Use

I've been using this stuff since approx. 1982 on the recommendation of an "audiophile" friend back then. It's simply amazing. Not cheap but you can use half the amount they recommend for excellent results.I've pulled out albums 40+ years old that were treated w/Last, played many times then shelved for a decade or two and they clean up nicely w/o static and play like new. Once you use the stuff, you'll be convinced.I'm normally pretty skeptical of stuff like this but 40 years and about 10 bottles later, I'll always use it.

A Must Have For Vinyl Lovers

Been using this stuff for years to treat my vinyl after washing it. It bonds to the vinyl and protects it.

This stuff REALLY WORKS

I have used all the LAST products for >30 years (Record Treatment + Stylus Cleaner + Stylast). My records pretty much all sounds like they did when I first acquired them. The records are:- ALWAYS cleaned before playing- ALWAYS treated with LAST Treatment before their first "spin"- ALWAYS handled correctly and put right back into the sleeve and jacket after playing. Before each side is played, the stylus is:- ALWAYS cleaned with a Signet electronic stylus cleaner- ALWAYS cleaned with LAST stylus cleaner- ALWAYS cleaned with LAST stylus brush- ALWAYS treated with LAST Stylast.Dude, your records can't be replaced. Take good care of them.

Costs a lot. May do a lot of good. Doesn't seem to do any harm at all.

How much it does it up for debate but I don't find that it does anything negative. It does imply your bank account of about $50 which seems like an awful lot for this, but who am I to argue unless I can prove it is not a benefit to my records. It will not remove pops and ticks. It is not meant to. If it makes them sound louder as someone wrote, it is probably because it has made the other areas less noisy (by simple friction reduction) and clarified the sound of everything, including pops and ticks that are in the vinyl. This stuff used to cost a lot less, but what didn't. However at that time, if it worked or not, you weren't out a lot as long as it didn't hurt anything. At this price it is a gamble as to how much a benefit it has. I however bought it and will be using it regularly. One thing, I personally think it evaporates so very quickly that I am concerned that it isn't helping all that much because I can barely get it from the applicator to the LP before it is gone.

Best protection for your LPs

I've been using LAST since the late 70s. I was anal about handling my albums back then and those 50+ year old albums still sound great. I treat all my new LPs even to this day. I don't know how it works only that my old treated albums would be the envy of any vinyl lover. OK, it is $55 for a 2 oz. Bottle, but it treats around 75 LPs and they won't wear out. That is a huge win with the current cost of an LP.

A terrific way to keep your vinyl "new" year after year

I've been using this product since it came out way back in the late '60's. Treat a new record with the Power Cleaner liquid, then "LAST it". It will sound new forever (well, not maybe, but I haven't worn a record out since.) Expensive, and you have to take care since it evaporates very fast if the bottle is not secured. But vs a record cleaning machine, a bargain.
