Love love this fish sauce. The flavor it adds to my cooking is amazing and rich. Yes, it smells strong. But that is a natural product. It turns into magic in whatever I add it to in my cooking.

If you love bold, umami-packed flavors, this fish sauce is top-tier. The 50°N rating means it’s super concentrated, giving dishes an incredible depth without needing much. It’s made with just two ingredients—black anchovies and salt—so there’s no weird additives, preservatives, or sugar. You can really taste the quality compared to regular fish sauces. That said, it’s strong. A little goes a long way, and if you’re not used to high-protein fish sauce, the intensity might surprise you. Also, it’s pricier than typical brands, but considering the purity and flavor, it’s worth it if you care about quality ingredients. Overall, this is the fish sauce to get if you want something truly premium. Great for dipping sauces, marinades, or adding a punch of umami.

There's only one problem with this sauce. The regular version is just as good and you get a bigger bottle for the same price. Don't get me wrong, this is the brand I always buy because it's the best on the market (I would buy this version every time if it wasn't for the regular stuff). But, the upgraded family reserve isn't any better than the regular stuff IMHO. If you want to compare between this version and the regular... This version is a bit less "fishy". It is slightly more unctuous, smoother, not so much in your face. It is wonderful as a flavoring, but stays a bit in the background, whereas the normal version is a bit more in your face flavor-wise.
