How much liquor is used to make a normal and strong drink? Are the drinks actually strong?

Bartesian is all about providing a cocktail lounge quality experience with perfect balance. The yield of spirits drawn varies depending on your cocktail selection since the authentic recipes themselves call for differing standard pours . Two examples are: Margarita- Light = 1oz, regular = 1.5oz, strong = 2.5oz. Old Fashioned-  Light=1.4oz regular = 2oz strong = 3.4oz. The "mocktail" selection is always 0oz of spirit drawn.

Do you only need the five base spirits?  In other words, do the capsules provide the liqueurs (triple sec, campari,  vermouth, etc.)

Accepted Answer

You only need five base spirits and the capsules provide the rest.  But it's important to note that the capsules don't contain alcohol.  For example, there would be triple sec flavoring without the alcohol.

Does anyone experience the machine making a mess while dispensing drinks? I love this machine but it shoots liquids all over my counter.

I love this machine but I also have issues with it slinging and flinging booze all over the place. After about four or five strong drinks, I notice it gets more and more difficult to keep up with the machine and where it decides to make a mess. Sometimes, the very next morning I’ll notice empty bottles hidden behind the sofa and/or bedroom furniture. It can take an hour or so to clean up but the next night we use the machine, ugh. it’ll be fine for the first few drinks but gets out of control after that. Maybe I should only use it for three/four drink max. That’s probably the best idea. Either that or I’ll put a camera on it to video record an entire night and see where the problem is coming from. Hmm…

Are the cocktails cold?

While Bartesian does not mechanically chill cocktails, there are plenty of ways to enjoy a cold drink!

For a cold cocktail, you can do any one or more of the following:

Fill the water reservoir with cold water, can also top the water reservoir with ice.
Refrigerate your Bartesian cocktail capsules (this also extends the freshness of your cocktail capsules)
Have ice in the glassware your cocktail is being dispensed in to.
