I was the only one out of our family of 4 that for sure knew my blood type. My husband had a guess on his and I called my kids doctor and the hospital they were born and they said they never tested their blood type. We thought it’d be a good thing to know and keep on hand. All 4 of us did the test, mine matched up with what I already knew. My husbands guess on what he thought he remembered his being was correct. My kids came up having the same type as each other and just as an extra check we looked up what kind of blood my husband and I could produce through children and that was accurate with my kids results. So these seem to be pretty legit! They were also super easy to do and the results were super fast. We were all a little nervous about the finger prick, but I didn’t think it hurt at all! The rest of my family said it was like a little pinch. It came with extra lancets which was nice because I read in reviews that some people’s didn’t work, we only ended up using 4/8 because all ours worked perfect. After they all dried I used the laminate sheets that came with it which were super nice since were going to keep ours with our other records. This also ended up being a fun little family experiment, my kids are dying to tell their friends at school today!

We bought these to use for a homeschool lesson. I already knew my blood type and one of my kids, but we didn’t know my other four kids or my husbands blood type. The alcohol wipes in our kit were all fine, I read some saying they were dry. Instructions were clear and simple. We watched a couple of videos on YouTube to teach the kids about blood types beforehand. Each kit came with two lancets but we never had to poke anyone more than once. My friend bought a bundle of 3 for herself and her kids and it was accurate for her blood type. In the photo you can see one of my kids cards appears to have reacted with A but we wrote B-. The cat actually jumped up on the counter before the cards were dry and caused the blood from the B circle to run into A. Before that the results were clear and easy to determine. I did see a couple of reviews complaining that the tests were faulty because nothing reacted. If you read the instructions it is clear that if none of the circles react it just means you are O-, not that the test doesn’t work. All in all would recommend these and would purchase again if I needed to know someone’s blood type.

This was fun for HS Biology lab. Every one got to test their own blood like we did when I was in HS. Worked perfectly. Highly recommend watching the video via the QR cod in the instructions It will make a lot more sense. Use the fingerstick devices in the kit-diabetic ones don't work for this.

I used these kits to find out the blood type of my daughter because the hospital would not tell me at her birth. I wasn’t okay with just not knowing, so I decided to test her myself. My brother and I already knew our blood type, so we used ourselves as Guinea pigs to see how accurate it was. You get 5 kits in a pack. Each kit has a card, lancelet, a little plastic stick, a water dropper, and some instructions. There are some circles on the card and you have to moisten each one with water. Then you have to prick the finger of the person who’s getting tested with the lancelet and place some blood on each circle. Easy enough! My brother and I both knew that we were type B+ and that’s what we got as a result. I found out that my daughter is O+ and her dad is O-, which is pretty good to know! Only downside is I have an extra card but I don’t have the stick needed to collect the blood for that one, so now it’s kind of sitting there collecting dust. Otherwise I would have given this product 5 stars. Regardless I’m grateful for this product for helping me discover my daughter’s blood type!

Happy with the product - easy to use and clear results

Maybe they changed their packaging/components since the low reviews, but I received 5 kits, all individually foil sealed packaged with a 2027 expiry date. Maybe their lancets aren’t the best - each kit I opened contained two, but each one I tried worked perfectly. To me, the instructions were VERY clear and well layed out and I also watched the u-Tube video the link to. Had no issues doing the test and got quick, clear results. Having worked in a high tech industry where everything is triple checked, I did pay my local blood testing lab for a ‘Type and Rh’ test, and it matched what the kit indicated.

This blood type test kit works well and is easy to use while not breaking the bank like the saliva test kits. The printed instructions are clear and there is also a video on the amazon product page. I was able to do the kit for 4 people with no issues. It's easiest for two people to do the test, one being the donor the other doing the actual test. The lancets work fine and I only had to use two for one person as their blood clotted up faster than I could do the test. It was also my first time so I was probably going too slow. We knew one of the blood types ahead of time and it matched the test so they appear to be accurate.

I ordered 2 sets of these test kits. We have rare blood types in our family and was looking to identify which family members share the same type. We used a lancet device from a personal diabetes tester kit to test 3 of us so I cant remark on the kit lancet. I used myself as the control because I knew for certain I was an A-. The test was accurate and responded within seconds. My grandfather was tested and he is a B- (like one of my cousins). My aunt tested as an O+ but we may test her again to confirm it wasn't a defective test (0 reaction in any of the 4 test circles). Her daughter is and A- and her other daughter is an O- so we thought for sure she would be an RH- and definitely not the O of her family (thought her husband was the O). I still have one of my uncles to test, we know his wife and granddaughter are A+ so we are excited to see what he is as his father is the B- and his sister tested 0+. My cousin (his son) lives too far away to test right now but it's going to be neat to find out eventually. I recommend this product.
