Very doubtful that extra caffeine would be artificially added to any coffee beans. From Lava Lei’s website: “Kona coffee contains the same amount of caffeine as nearly any other variety of coffee. Keep in mind that the caffeine content varies somewhat from one coffee bean to the next, but a 12-ounce cup of drip coffee has around 250 milligrams of caffeine or 125 milligrams for a double shot of espresso.”
