Review: Finally a "Tall" that stays tucked! Soft, warm, and perfect for active days - The Fit & Length: As someone who usually struggles with shirts riding up, I am thrilled with the Tall version of this base layer. The length is fantastic—it stays securely tucked in even after a full day of bending, moving, and outdoor activity. Unlike other "tall" brands that just get wider, this one actually provides the vertical coverage needed for a 6ft+ frame. Even after several wash cycles. Comfort & Warmth: Material Quality: The Merino wool is incredibly soft and comfortable against the skin. There’s zero "itch factor," which can be a concern with wool. It provides a very consistent layer of warmth without making me feel like I'm overheating. The Snug Factor: I will note that the fit is a bit more snug than I usually prefer in a standard shirt. However, for a base layer, this is actually a benefit. It isn't uncomfortably tight, and the close fit is much better for layering and heat retention than something too loose. Final Verdict: 5 Stars. It’s rare to find a Merino piece that gets the "Tall" sizing right while maintaining this level of comfort. If you need a reliable, stay-put base layer for cold weather, this is the one. Review: Good product. Good value. - Great wool shirt for wearing up it as a pajama shirt around the house, assuming your house is in the 60s or low 70s. Also good as the top with jeans. Much softer than the smart wool products. We will see how durability is. Update: Have worn this half the nights for th past two months. Very comfortable and warm. Could not be happier. Perfect for sleeping!

The perfect wool thin base layer - THAT'S WARM!
My husband is allergic to lots of fibers - he really only likes 100% cotton and wool and thankfully they don't irritate his skin. He LOVES this base layer - it's super warm, super SOFT, and very durable. I like how thin it is, while also providing a good warm layer. He immediately wanted to see if there was other colors offered. It was SO MUCH cheaper than some of the other online brands. Super happy with this purchase for him.

Light and warm luxury
Huge fan so I bought more. Soft and lightweight yet are an excellent warming layer. Sleeves are long, shoulder fit perfectively. Great piece for tall women.

Thinner than expected but still quality.
I noticed a quality thickness reduction on what supposedly was the same product that I bought years ago for about the same price. It was also a lighter shade of green. But despite an apparent thinner base layer that the other, it’s quality. It fits snugly- looks good if you don’t mind tight.

Warm as toast and softer than most
The cost of a wool base layer has kept me from buying one of these for a while, but man oh man I wish I had some wool underwear sooner! I bought the long sleeve midweight crew a couple of weeks ago and I have worn it just about every day since getting it. I'm no outdoorsmen, I just hate wearing a heavy coat and work in a drafty 100 year old building so I was looking for a way to stay warmer without having a million layers on while I was at work and to avoid putting on a coat just to run to the store. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner. Out of the box it fit fine. I usually wear an XL and so I ordered an XL. The fit around my body is snug like a baselayer should be but not constricting. The sleeves are plenty long. I have them pushed up to my elbows most of the time I'm indoors and they are not too tight. The length of the shirt length is a few inches below my waist and tucks in and stays tucked in. Layered with an overshirt or sweater I've been comfortable for two weeks; had to do some heavy lifting for a while some days and got a little sweaty, but the wool dried quickly and I didn't feel chilly afterwards. If you haven't caught on, I love this thing. As I mentioned, I have worn it almost every day since I got it. After the first 6 days (I took it off at night to air out and figured I'd be much too hot under a comforter with it on) I hand washed it with some wool detergent and to my pleasant surprise, it dried in less than 12 hours (for anyone who has hand-washed a sweater and left it on a towel to dry you know that this is a record time). I put it on the next day and it didn't shrink at all and got a bit softer. That was 6 days ago and I've worn it every day since. I am a convert. Stop wasting your time with polyester long johns!

My New Favorite
I bought this shirt in a men's Large (I am female) because I was hoping for a shirt with more length in the body and sleeves than a traditional women's shirt, and I got exactly what I was hoping for. I have quite a few wool 'base layer' shirts, and this one is as good as any of them. The color ('Sand' - a café au lait color with subtle striations) is lovely and very versatile in my wardrobe. I wear this as a lightweight wool sweater (jumper), so for me it is an outer layer and not a base layer. But even though it's lightweight, it's very warm. And because it's 100% merino wool, I know it will be cool in the warmer weather as well. I am going back to see if they have some other colors I might fancy, and if they do, I will be getting another... or two. Some notes on care - I wash my wool sweaters in an impellor* washer, using a mesh laundry bag and cold or cool water, with ordinary laundry detergent. I dry them on a hanger and pop them back into the closet. I have had no problems. At the end of the season, I pack them away flat to allow the wool fibers to rest over the summer. So I think the care is a lot easier than most people imagine. *I mentioned that my washer is an impellor model because I wouldn't try to do this in an agitator washer, but I have never tried it, so perhaps I am being over-cautious.

Wicking and Comfortable! Recommended!
**5 year update - I have used them every winter and on many camping trips and these are still holding up. No pilling, no holes. I wash them in the machine with cold water and I've never put them in the dryer. Easily one of my best Amazon purchases ever.** These are so comfortable and they wick moisture like nothing I've worn. I went from very wet to almost totally dry without changing - it was hard to believe. They're quite warm I wouldn't wear them under joggers for a winter jog, but they were perfect as the only base layer at -1 to -5 Celsius, maybe even a bit colder. They were a tiny bit on the loose side, but I'm sure that'll change with washing. Great product! Highly recommended.

Superb quality
Beautifully made, robust, great quality merino. I bought a set of top & bottoms for my friend because he suffers with very bad night sweats. He used to wake in the middle of the night to a soaking wet bed & have to get up & change all the linen. The merino set absorbs most of it now & he is sleeping much better as a result. Thank you Meriwool!
