There are quite a few things that I like about this product and the biggest thing has to do with the massager nodes that can get out the knots (stress, tension, etc) in the lower part of your neck and upper back. What I really appreciate about it is that within the last few years there have been many things that have caused me stress and I feel it more often in my upper back and neck and sometimes have a hard time relaxing myself, but this is like a forced relaxation which really loosens up my muscles and helps me to feel a lot better and more relaxed after using it. It definitely helps. I feel like a lot of individuals can relate to these same feelings, and this product really helps me to feel more relaxed, less stressed and more comfortable. Plus the heated back zone feels awesome on the middle part of my back; I feel like any type of heat on your muscles just feels amazing and provides a source of relaxation. The only part that I personally do not really care for is how the heated back zone also has a vibration mode to it which could be similar to a massage because it vibrates, my husband says he likes it, but that’s not something I really care for in the product but the heated back zone feels awesome. My husband and I also used the massager on the lower part of our back because the device is quite mobile and adjustable so you can move it pretty much anywhere you would want to on your back. There are several modes of adjustment, which are really nice because you can strike a balance between the amount of pressure you want to use with the device. The power cord is really long too. Overall, it is a really convenient and useful device and you can easily use it while you are sitting or reclining and watching TV or being on a smart phone or tablet.

This Comfier Neck & Shoulder Massager with Heat, 3D Deep Kneading Shiatsu Neck & Shoulder Massaging Pad is the 4th Comfier Product I have purchased.Their customer service is top notch & the quality of their products is consistently above average.This particular Neck & Shoulder Massager surprised me as to how light weight it is!I seriously thought they forgot to put it in the box, but it was there along with the power cable & instruction booklet.It's super simple to operate using the remote. It offers a vibration feature with 3 pulsating power settings. There is also an option for heat in 3 temperature levels; Low, Medium & High.The shiatsu roller balls offer 8 modes (4 med & 4 small) which can be set for light pressure, medium pressure or max pressure.The remote offers the option to reverse the direction the roller balls are rotating.The overall design is quite clever. To position the shiatsu roller balls, simply move the entire unit to position it over the areas you wish to massage.The tapered design offers support to the lower back, while massaging the upper back.When it's positioned to massage the lower back, the narrower section offers support for the upper back area.Also, the lights on the remote go from red to yellow to green. Red is the strongest massage pressure, Yellow is a less aggressive pressure and green is the weakest amount of pressure. Yes, you can control pressure to a point by positioning your body and leaning into the massager, but I find this way to be simple & effective.The overall unit, while perfect for my 5'3", 120 lb frame; those with larger frames may find it to be on the small side.The width at the widest point is 13", tapering to 8" wide. From top to bottom, the unit measures 17" long. The sides taper from 4" deep at deepest point to 2" deep, creating a contoured effect, similar to the feeling of being cradled.There is a high quality detachable (Velcro) cover that can be used to cushion the pressure of the shiatsu roller balls. All material is easy to wipe clean with a damp sponge.The light weight of this massager makes it an excellent travel massager. It's also great for the elderly because it's so easy to manipulate. I truly appreciate that it will run for half an hour before shutting itself off. Plenty of time for an effective, relaxing massage! A+++

This massager is very comfortable to use. The shiatsu portion is only on one end so you can flip it around to be used for your neck or back and it is comfortable in either position. I purchased the leather version and while of course it isn't really leather, it looks nice and will minimize lint, etc. sticking to it.This particular model has heat, shiatsu, and vibration modes. You can use all three modes at the same time or turn off whichever setting(s) you do not want. The shiatsu mode reverses direction on its own. There are various speeds and/or vibration patterns you can select from. The controller is attached to the massager with a 3ft cord so you can't lose it.The shiatsu is relatively mild so you can use it for quite a while with no concerns but if you find it too harsh, there is a fold over flap (at least with the version I purchased) that will reduce it further. This flap is attached by velcro and can be completely removed if you do not want to use it. I have one of those neck shiatsu massagers that look like a scarf and in comparison, this is about 1/2 of the strength of that one. While you may think more power is better, you can actually bruise yourself if it is too strong. The scarf versions are also very cumbersome to deal with because of their design. This cushion is far more adaptable and provides more of a gentle, relaxing massage.When in use, the shiatsu is very quiet and can barely be heard. The vibration is considerably louder but it is not so loud it is a problem. The heat and shiatsu both start when you switch on the controller but you can adjust either feature (as well as the vibration) with the controller.The only complaint I have is that the electrical cord could be a bit longer. Depending on where you use it, you may need to use a heavy duty extension cord. It would be awesome if it came with an adapter so you could use it in a car.Overall, I am pleased with this massager. It has a lot of nice features and seems to be well-made. This comes with a 1 year warranty with the option to extend it to 3 years for free. It is very portable and provides a relaxing, gentle massage and is much more convenient to use than the scarf-like massagers. I definitely recommend.

This style of massager is a huge update and upgrade to the massager I have been using for years. Serving in the Vietnam War, then working as a laborer in construction puting myself through college and then keeping up with school children serving as a teacher - all took a toll on my now elderly body. I have used another style of massager of the same brand to work out the sore kinks in my neck and low back. The problem was that the rollers in my old massager were large and harsh when rolling out my body. I am thankful that these rollers are smaller and have a gentler action. This has a control pad with several buttons. My old massager has one button, but this has buttons to select heat, direction, speed and also vibration, something my old version did not have. I like the minimalist size because it is not heavy, so it is easier to move to the spot that needs work. Since it has a flat back, it stays in position better than my curved back old model. The instruction manual is easy to understand and remember. The cover is a durable, attractive leatherette material. Currently this massager is on sale at a very affordable price. In using this massager, i appreciate that it helps my back and neck feel better. In the massaging action, even though this is a budget model, it would have been nicer to have a way to move the massaging nodes in and out so that both sides of my neck get worked on at the same time. To make up for this, I just move the massager to one side of my neck and then to the other side. With the gentle shiatsu action, I do not bruise like my old massager. There is a cover that can be put of the front of the massager if one wants a gentler massaging action. For me, I just flip it over to the back. The control pad has a long enough cord to operate and the power cord is a standard length to reach a chair easily. I posted a picture of how it fits on my chair.The bottom line is that this massager is great for me since it is small so I can easily sit it next to my chair in my livingroom without taking up a lot of space. Even though there is a card stating that a buyer can extend the warranty to three years, if it works as well as my eight- year- old present massager, you won’t need it. It has been my observation that anything Comfier makes with last for years if not abused. Easy five stars.

I loved it ... at first. Then I started to get sore spots on my back like hot spots. I realized it was where I was focusing the massager and it was causing friction with my cloths. When I stopped using the massager the sores went away. Started using it again and they returned.
