4 boxes at $8.99 per box would cost you $35.96, so the bottle at $28.87 is less expensive, but consider how long it’s going to last.

You’re probably better off just buying the 3-pack boxes for home use since the need to use this product is not often at all and you’d essentially be tying up your money for a long time that could be making you money in interest or in other ways (plus you’d have to store the bigger bottle).

For home use 12 uses from the bottle would take me 2-3 years based on past need for use of this product (for instance, the last time I bought this on Amazon was 2018 and it's now 2022, and I'm only the last of my packets in the 3-pack).

If you want to clean your grinder once a month, okay, go with the bottle and buy it once a year, but in reality I haven't had the need to do that with my grinder since I use it almost daily and the new coffee is constantly pushing out the old coffee.

When I tend to use this is after I've not been using the grinder for a month or more (as I also have a Jura superautomatic espresso machine with a built in grinder).  At that point I want to get a thorough cleaning of the grinder with this product to remove (by now) very old coffee and oils.

What is the difference between Grindz and Full Circle? Both are manufactured by Urnex.

Full Circle is for cleaning the coffee maker itself, not the grinder.  That means the tablets dissolve to descale and wash away all of the coffee detritus.  Grindz are abrasive, absorbent tablets for cleaning the grinder.

Is this really better than just running rice through the grinder?

Do keep in mind that manufacturers will void warranty if they find rice in your grinder. Maybe not a concern for a 50 dollar grinder, but when you pay 500 (or more) it might be a reason to think twice. I am all for cheap hacks, but sometimes it might just not be worth it. Coffee grinders are not made for rice. :)

Can I use this "Urnex Grindz Coffee Grinder Cleaner" for my "Breville BES860XL Barista Express Espresso Machine with Grinder"?

If you have a superautomatic such as my Jura S9 with a built in grinder, you DON'T want to use this product in it.  They make a different product for superautomatics with integrated grinders.  It's called SuperGrindz instead of Grindz.  Look at YouTube videos after searching for it.  I haven't had any problem using SuperGrindz in my Jura S9, but I also descaled and cleaned regularly and only recently started using SuperGrindz to clean the grinder.  For years I did nothing and never really tasted an off flavor from the grinder.  My machine has been going since 2008.  It's now the end of 2022.  I thought it would be dead long ago, but thanks to regular cleaning and descaling (and later cleaning with SuperGrindz for the grinder)  it's still going with no problems.  14 years and counting.  So I am a big believer in doing the maintenance with the appropriate products, but my machine with the integrated grinder was made before SuperGrindz was even on the market, and again, even without it, it's never been an issue.
