Worth Every Rupee – True Home Cinema Experience!
I recently bought the XGIMI Horizon S Max and honestly, I’m blown away. This is not just a projector — it genuinely feels like a full home theatre setup. Picture Quality: The 4K clarity is excellent, and Dolby Vision really makes a difference. Colors are vibrant but not overdone, and the image looks sharp even at larger screen sizes. In a dark room, the experience is easily comparable to a mini theatre. Brightness: Surprisingly usable even with some ambient light. Not just a “dark room only” projector like many others in this category. Setup & Ease of Use: Super easy. Auto focus, keystone correction, and alignment work seamlessly. Took me just a few minutes to get everything perfectly set up. Sound: Built-in speakers are actually quite good — clear and loud enough for casual use. Though pairing with a soundbar takes it to another level. Build & Design: Premium look and feel. Solid build quality, and it fits well in a living room setup without looking bulky. Things to note: * Netflix isn’t available directly, so you’ll need a Fire TV Stick or similar device. * For best results, use a proper screen or a smooth wall. Final Verdict: If you’re looking for a high-quality projector that balances performance, features, and ease of use — this is absolutely worth it. A great investment for movies, sports, and gaming.

best projector I’ve used in this range
I’ve had the XGIMI Horizon S Max for a few weeks now, and honestly — I’m blown away. From the moment I set it up, the picture quality feels far beyond what you’d expect at this price point. What I love: 🎥 Incredible 4K clarity — sharp and vibrant even on a 120–150" image. 💡 Brightness & contrast — colors pop and there’s plenty of punch, even in moderately lit rooms. 📺 Huge screen potential — getting close to 200" is possible, and it still looks good for casual viewing. 🧠 Smart Android TV interface — built-in apps work smoothly, no need for extra sticks or boxes. 🔊 Good onboard audio — surprisingly solid sound without external speakers (but you can connect them if you want extra punch). Setup was straightforward, the remote feels premium, and overall it’s a really refined experience. For movies, games, sports, or binge nights with friends — this projector delivers. Bottom line: This is the best projector I’ve used in this range. Easy to recommend for anyone who wants a big-screen entertainment experience without blowing the budget.

Amazing clarity and brightness
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently purchased the XGIMI Horizon and I’m genuinely impressed with the performance. The picture quality is sharp and vibrant with true 1080p clarity, and the brightness is more than sufficient even with some ambient light. The auto keystone correction and autofocus work seamlessly, making setup extremely easy. The built-in Harman Kardon speakers deliver surprisingly rich and clear sound, so you don’t immediately need external speakers. The overall build quality feels premium and the interface is smooth and responsive. A great all-in-one projector for home entertainment — highly recommended.

5/5 Stars - Fantastic Projector!
The XGIMI Horizon S Max is a phenomenal piece of technology. The visuals are incredibly crisp, the brightness is impressive, and the overall setup was seamlesss. XGIMI has clearly put a lot of thought into the engineering, and it shows in the final product. It’s easily one of the best home theater purchases I’ve made. My only piece of constructive feedback for XGIMI would be regarding the physical ports. An exceptional 4K projector like this really begs for multiple HDMI ports. When you're managing a setup with high-end gaming consoles and streaming sticks, having to constantly plug and unplug HDMI cables is a bit inconvenient. Adding an extra HDMI 2.1 port or two would make this the undisputed king of projectors. Still, I absolutely love it and it earns a massive 5 stars from me for the sheer quality of the image.

Effortless Setup, Stunning 4K — I’m Impressed!
I recently bought the XGIMI Horizon S Max, and it has completely upgraded my home movie nights. The picture quality is stunning—its bright 3100 ISO‑lumen output keeps the visuals crisp even with some lights on, and Dolby Vision plus IMAX Enhanced support really adds a premium cinematic feel. What impressed me most as a regular user is how easy it is to set up: features like auto‑keystone, autofocus, screen alignment, and overall ISA 5.0 automation make it practically plug‑and‑play. The built‑in Harman Kardon speakers deliver surprisingly rich sound, so I didn’t even need an external soundbar. After using it daily, I can confidently say it’s a fantastic investment for anyone wanting a true big‑screen experience without complicating their setup

It's a pretty good camera once you get it figured out.
The pros: the auto screen cover is great image is pretty dang good even on a regular white 120" screen. auto focus and auto keystone is nice (but any little movement will cause it to try and rekey. got a stand which did help. Also fixed the camera with a different hanger and that also helped.) audio from HDMI is good auto focus works pretty nice. Good to have on the remote is a bit more "portable" with the gimbal but note the power brick is big and requires 120v so portable is relative here. Works with Home Assistant (gives more control using HA) Cons: Not as bright using just a standard white screen. perhaps a special super reflective screen maybe but i don't have that. a bit washed out with very little light so only use with low light Still aas a hard time trying to fill the screen. I have a very standard 120" screen. Side to side pivot is touchy and if you have Auto recalibrate turned on it will try to readjust the screen Note: No audio output other than HDMI. Able to get around buying a cheap HDMI audio splitter splitter requires additional power to separate audio so if this is an issue be aware. Most features are turned off by default so make sure you take a look High brightness mode (wow the noise the fan makes is unbelievable and would not recommend ever using and the change doesn't seem to be much) Not a fan of the interface, but because it's Android you can sideload apps. Able to completely redesign the interface ..or for less techy, replace using another device like a Firestick

I paid full price and received a used product, almost new but at the end used
The product was in good condition and works properly. But the box was open when arrived and the projector was already configured with somebody else account. Im giving only 1 star because I pay for a new product.

Worth It!
I want to upgrade my old projector to something more powerful and high-end. After watching a few YouTube videos about 4K laser projectors, I chose the Horizon S Max—and I’m glad I did. The visuals are incredible. The 4K resolution is sharp and vivid, and with imax enhanced and Dolby Vision, the colors are super accurate. The dark levels are great, and the highlights really pop. I’m sensitive to laser speckles, but XGIMI’s tech makes the image smooth and comfortable for my eyes. The flexible stand is awesome. You can rotate it 360 degrees, and the AI tech makes setup super easy. Features like object avoidance and screen alignment make it truly plug-and-play. One of the coolest things is the keystone correction—it works while streaming without interrupting playback, automatically adjusting as you reposition the projector. The only downside is the single HDMI port, but it’s manageable with a splitter. Running on Android TV, it has built-in apps, which is handy. The Harman Kardon speakers are impressive too, with 2 x 12W output and Dolby Audio, I’m impressed by the quality.

Very good, with some small issues
Firstly, the image quality is great! The projector gets very bright, and I found it perfectly usable projecting a ~110" image in a room with windows during the day with just the blinds closed (darker than direct daylight, but not blacked out). Of course, the darker you can get the room, the better it looks, as with any projector. I have been projecting onto a matte beige wall and it looks way better than I thought it would without a proper screen. The image is sharp, and the auto focus works well. There is a slight screen-door effect if you look very closely at the image, but at a reasonable viewing distance I don't notice it. The colors are vibrant and the contrast looks better than the on-paper ratio would suggest. As others have mentioned, the black floor is not perfect, but I found it pretty comparable to a mid-range LCD panel. In extremely dark scenes, you will definitely see some glow, but in brighter scenes you won't notice unless you are specifically looking for it. I recommend lowering the brightness when viewing in a very dark room, as it will lower the black floor as well. The Android TV OS works well enough. It is generally fast, and streaming content from various apps (including HDR and Dolby Vision content) works as expected. The built-in speakers are fine. They are equivalent to some decent built-in speakers in a TV. I would recommend connecting an AV receiver or sound bar, or even just some Bluetooth headphones for solo viewing. Now for the issues. As of the time of writing this review, there is no way to set the projector to default to the HDMI input, so you will need to manually set the input each time if you are using a connected device. Having only one HDMI port was not an issue for me, as I use it with an AV receiver, but it might be for others. The pixel shifting mechanism makes a noticeable buzzing noise. It will vary from unit to unit, but mine sounds a bit like a mini fridge compressor. It's not very loud, but I find this noise more annoying than the white noise of the fans (which are on the quiet end for a projector). It is worth noting that ALL pixel shift projectors will make this noise to some degree, as there is a component physically moving at a very high speed. Still worth keeping in mind if you are going to place the projector near where you are sitting.
