HSE Deluxe Cedar Sauna Sand Timer, White

I didn’t care that much which color it was, but I received an orange sand when I ordered a white sand. Be sure to order these ahead of the time you need them so that you can send back the wrong color if you receive it. Works well, most of the sand hourglasses I’ve tested have been way above their intended time (16-17.5 minutes instead of 15) This hourglass is accurate! 15min 18seconds Some people are so picky and think this isn’t accurate but I’ve had experience with many of them and this is great! I use it in the sauna and it is good quality, I love that you can hide the screws behind the upright position. 5/5 stars.

Mine must not have been well sealed, as it appears moisture got in and caused the sand to clump, clogging the timer. For a bit, we lived with it and just flicked the timer to get it going again. However, you really didn’t always know how much time passed- which is the point of it. At this stage, though, we can’t even get the clog cleared. So, it looks nice and seemed decently made. But, ultimately mine doesn’t tell time.

The manual says no heat above 170 degrees, which would make it a bit useless for a sauna. I installed it down near the floor where it’s cooler below the heater level, and as a result it’s working fine. I timed it with a digital stopwatch and the hourglass was within 5 seconds of 15 minutes. It works fine after three sessions above 190 F and is nice since electronics don’t do so well in that kind of heat.

We purchased this for our father for Christmas. He has an outdoor cedar sauna. This in our opinion matches great with the wood, is easy to mount and appears to be accurate. When we asked our dad it is he responded with "just fine".

Worked well for 10 sessions in our traditional Finish sauna. After that, the sand would clog up and we were having to tap on it to keep the sand flowing. The tapping of the timer to keep it working went on for 5 sauna sessions before the sand stopped flowing all together rendering the timing 100% useless. No response from the seller when we asked to either have a new one sent or to have it returned. I guess we'll just throw it away.

OFTEN, THE 'SAND' QUITS FLOWING THROUGH THE GLASS, WELL BEFORE IT SHOULD. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND NOR PURCHASE AGAIN.

Pretty cheaply made. While I was putting it up the little trim piece that holds the end of the glass fell off. It was just put on with a tiny spot of glue. I changed my review from three to one star. After two or three times the sand quit moving as others have reported.

It looks the part and worked well for about 2 weeks. However now no sand passes through the hourglass and it doesn’t function as a timer. I see others have reported this issue too. Very disappointing

Schön sieht es ja aus, das Saunathermometer. Leider funktioniert es bereits nach kurzem Gebrauch nicht mehr richtig. Irgendwo scheint ein Mikroloch zu sein, sodass Feuchtigkeit eindringt und der Sand verklumpt. :-( ... Eigentlich ein klarer Fall für eine Reklamation. Leider jedoch ist ein Kontakt zum Verkäufer nicht möglich. Man landet maximal in einem Amazonchat, der jedoch nirgendwohin führt. Enttäuschend!
