The best idea to know how much wire is on a spool. So you know if can be used and if is enough. The scale is metric. A conversion table is available online. And is very easy to use!!!!!

I was needing to see how long of runs (1way ) some wire. The instructions say this is for seeing how long a roll is. Most wire I use has numbers of feet printed on it. I was able to connect two wire on one end and just divide the number in 2 to get my overall length. I had 50 of these to do out of the 50 I pulled 4 of them and did an actual length measure. 3 were basically right on and one was less than 2 foot off - it said it was just shorter than what it was. Wasnt that big of a deal for me. I really like the tool and it was quick and easy to use. Worth the cost!

got the product on time but plastic shield for the screen came off when I took off the sticker when I went operated it also the battery compartment door looks like its not going to last long. so I will return it.

Pretty much none of the preset dial selections match AWG. So you’ll need to use the user programmable selections. It’s kind of a hassle but it’s worth the trouble.

If you go by AWG American Wire Gauge this does not convert very effectible. That equals to improper lengths on a spool or wire. And when converted[math] the dial does not come close to be accurate

your options for wire size is not complete so you have to calculate between to values

I was happy to have this little device and to finally be able to measure the length of my coil easily on job site. Unbox the meter, I read and follow the instruction for calibration and measurement on a coil NMD90 14 awg (2,5 mm2) and the reading was 0 meter; the device started showing a length when i unclamp the alligator clip from the wire. At that point I no longer trust the meter and returned it.

This unit is so inaccurate that is is useless to me. Company will not refund money and Amazon will not either. Terrible product and terrible customer service.
