Bought one of these years ago, and it finally died. New one works just as well as the old one.

Nothing worked. I ordered one that Amazon canceled because of some difficulty and refunded me. I reordered it and when I tried to make it work nothing worked. The instructions, if one can even call them instructions, were in Chinese. I ordered another brand [Media Hub] and it works great.

The quality is severely lacking. It constantly adds a bit of noise to the headset/speakers you have it hooked up to, and that's when it's working. For me, it lasted for about a month of light use (pressing the buttons about once a day) before the audio in the left side of my headset cut out completely. I wasn't putting any pressure on the lines, it just died. If I were you, I'd put a few more dollars into a higher quality product.

The wires for this are not reinforced properly, and this ended up not working after just a couple of months

Only one audio channel worked. I only bought it because it was cheap. Didn't expect it to be THAT cheap. Returned for refund.
