Useful!
Used to use the original-size ones, but this size is useful too and gets the job done!!

kinda pricey
These skin calming patches with the magnesium work for more problematic wide areas. If you have a teen or are a teenager with wider area of inflammation, this actually is easier to apply than layering on acne tape. This is kind of pricey though, currently priced at $20 for 2 boxes and basically 10 small patches and 2 big wide ones. You would need to do multiple days of these to see results. It was a bit scary to see the micro needle magnesium part at first, but it's barely a prick, it's barely a scratch. It feels weird on my chin because I move it. Definitely don't use this when you're eating because it will shift. I use this at bed time. Overall, this stuff helps calm my skin, however, it's expensive.

10/10 for cystic acne
A real lifesaver for my cystic acne!! Iโve used microdart patches in the past but it would take several days before any difference started showing. With these, the results were quite literally overnight. Iโm repurchasing whenever I need to zap a cyst quickly, literally the best thing Iโve ever purchased for my skin!! Promise you the price is so worth the results

Didn't stick on well; didn't do much for my chin breakout
I will say up-front, I don't have much acne any more (thank goodness) but I do have rosacea and eczema, and I had been reading about how magnesium patches can help quiet down skin irritations. However, when I got this product to try via Vine, I did actually have a small breakout on my chin (always happens when I travel) and so I thought I would try it. I followed the instructions on how to put a couple of drops of the serum on the patch and then stick the patch to my skin. I did that. I didn't think I put too much serum on the patch, but within a few minutes, I felt the patch start slipping around. I pulled it off, cleaned off the adhesive edges as best I could, and re-stuck it onto my chin. It stayed on a bit better that time, but still didn't stay on for the "hours" the box said I could leave the patch on. After the third time it started falling off, I just left it off. I am not sure what kind of result I was supposed to expect from this, but nothing really happened. I would have been better off putting on a drying clay mask and leaving that on for awhile, vs using this product. It could be I just don't get what is supposed to happen here, but I can say it didn't help my skin much, and wasn't very easy to use. I think the adhesive needs work, or the instructions, or both. I will say that while it was on, it was relatively comfortable to wear.

Chin-specific, and go very light on the ointment
I saved these until I had an outbreak that was sizable enough to warrant applying them, because I hadn't realized how large they would be. The patches are at least an inch and a half wide, which is really quite a lot of surface area on a person's face. But it's also worth knowing that they have a kidney bean like shape and seem to be specifically made for your chin. So if you try to apply them other places, especially highly contoured places like the side of your nose, it's probably just not going to stick well. They do have micro darts and they are fairly pronounced to compare compared to others I have tried, but it's not painful. There's also a gel/cream that comes with the patches in a little tube and it is apparently very easy to use too much of that, because once lubricated, the patches don't stick well at all. In fact, once I used it in what I thought was a very light amount, I couldn't get it to stay on my face, and had to use a piece of medical tape over top of it to get it to stay. So because these are so mission specific, limited to only one zone of the face, and because they're kind of expensive and large, they aren't as versatile as they could be. It seems like if you always have chin breakouts, these are for you. But if you get pimples in unpredictable places, or in places where you need a lot of flexibility or have facial contours, like between your eyes or on the side of your nose, you might need more conventional patches that bend and stick wherever you put them.
