Escort EZ Mag Mount for All and Select Cobra Radar Detectors

These mag mounts work really good on my escort. hold tight and does not lose its suction for months on end.

My original mount wouldn’t stick securely anymore. This worked exactly like the original one for a fraction of the price.

I found that if you can put it on the window and never remove it, it will last a lot longer. As soon as you start moving it, that original seal gets broken and it's game over. Do it once and leave it!

The sticky cup holds very well. In NV your car windshields become extremely hot and other brands I have tried have failed to stay attached in the extreme heat. This one is working very well and so far has not been affected by our extreme weather and temperature changes.

This mag mount is very strong when it sticks but I think it may have two problems that limit its useful lifespan. I live in Florida, and leaving the mount on the windshield when I park somewhere for a while often gets it hot enough to fall off the glass. I think over time this heat weakens the rubber/silicone material. When mine broke apart, I could see that the suction cup passed through the metal plate via a series of tiny openings, so there is a ring of narrow points holding it all together. Hopefully this version has been improved as I think these tiny connectors contributed to the suction cup breaking. Otherwise this is very strong: you definitely don't want to try to remove the cup without flipping the pressure switch down, the pressure switch really makes a strong suction when you flip it up after pushing the mount against the glass, and the magnets are strong enough that only when I hit something really hard like a pothole or bump will the radar detector dump in my lap (but that has happened a few times). I do prefer this to the old spring-lock that would click into place and eventually wear out requiring the radar detector get mailed in to have a new body. I bought two, and now I'll always stash the mount in the glovebox, then keep the spare indoors so it doesn't wear down in the heat.

This mount is better than the original. Feels more robust. Mounted and working good. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.

My original mount lost all of its stickiness so I got this as a replacement. It’s the exact same as the original mount. I’ve yet to have this new one fall off my windshield like my original did, and it’s been mounted for a year now. Hard to really say but the magnet that holds the radar might honestly even be stronger than my original as well, so not a single complaint from me. Will definitely buy another if I ever need.

This mount is so powerful, yet easy to remove. Before I bought two more of them, I used to take the mount off of one car and on to my other vehicles. I was worried it would lose stickiness. Nope, it was good as new, even after a couple of dozen times of switching. If the sticky pad gets dirty, just wash it. With the mount to the radar detector being magnetic, it was a no brainer to just get one for each vehicle. Now it's a snap. When I'm parked in a bad neighbourhood (Not too many where I live - Canada), I just remove the detector, put it in a soft pouch, and I'm all set.
