Front Left Driver Power Running Board Motor for 07-14 Ford F150 Replaces OE# AL3Z16A507A

This product was easy to install did not need any adjusting. So far it is working correctly. Same part was ordered from other retailers, and was incorrect. Ordered from RocketAuto 3X, all 3 times they shipped incorrect part, box was correct except part inside was for passenger side, same with Parts Geek. From amazon ordered the Galexoi part and the motor was reversed, running board would open when door was closed.

The motor works great! Installation is your problem? The old motor should slide right out! If it doesn’t, then you will need to press it out or use a center punch to drive the old motor shaft out... If you have to drive / press it out then the inner and outer bushing screens have deteriorated and are holding the shaft. (See screen picture) use a small screwdriver to remove the bushing screen only, then clean up the brass bushing and put some lube on it. (I used anti-seize) Reassemble and it should work perfectly! Keep in mind that it will need to be lubed periodically, and more frequently it you go through automatic car washes! If you installed the motor and it is slow or doesn’t want to retract, follow the steps above 👍

After installing, I connected the wiring. The motor started turning. Great! But then I noticed the board was out even though the door was closed. When I opened the door the board retracted. I assumed I had done something wrong, so the next day I removed and reinstalled only to have the same result. I asked a question about this on the amazon forum. The someone responded and said to email the company for an answer. The next day someone said to cut the orange and yellow wires in the harness and splice them back together with the orange on yellow and yellow on orange. I did that and it worked. I’m not particularly thrilled that I have spliced wires and had to do this extra step. I taped it and used crimp connectors, but still not great. The part works now and would be 5 stars if no mod was needed.

Part worked good, installed ok. Didn't have any instructions with it..but then part installed and hooked easily.

After having it installed for roughly 4 months now it still functions great. If you plan to take this on get ready for a pain in the backside when removing the old one! It was my first time ever replacing one of these and it took me roughly 6hrs from start to finish. Product will definitely save you money and would purchase again.

intsalled on my 2010 f150. motor just not strong enough to lift running board. goes down fine but doesn't lift without extra help from my foot. discouraging!!

Motor was exact replacement on my '09 platinum. Previous reviews mention the wiring was reversed but after a quick email to seller they reassured me theyd fixed the issue. They did. Mine operates correctly right out of the box. Install is tricky but there are several videos around and you save 900 bucks by not replacing the whole running board so well worth the effort. Shipping was also much faster than the estimated delivery at order. Will definitely reorder from them if pass side goes out next.

Wiring issue of motor causing backward movement of running board has returned after problem was supposed to have been fixed. Ordered twice and both have same issue. No good.
