Overall a great pack and well made! Perfect for ground hunting.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with this pack. Pockets are laid out good and the straps are comfortable. I wanted a pack that wasn't too heavy without contents yet could haul a decent load. I love the inside compartment for carrying layers and extra clothes and it has a zippered compartment near the top. Side pockets are great for water or other slightly bulkier small items (range finder, pruning shears, etc). Top outer pocket is laid out well with divider pockets for a knife, pen or other smaller items, yet can still hold larger items like binoculars, rangefinder etc. LOVE the compression straps/area between the pack and outer pocket. It can hold bulky items like a cushion and cold weather clothes. The gun carrier is decent too and even works decent with a cross bow. The two hip belt pockets are nice for quicker access items.PROS:Laid out wellFairly lightweight ~ 3lbsLot of organizational pocketsCan carry a decent amount of weight, maybe even boned out meatMolle attachment loops, as well as a few loops on the bottom of the packComfortable straps with a decent adjustment rangeCan carry a firearm/bowWell made, no worries about how it will hold upCONS:About the only con is the top outer pocket is somewhat noisy. Like stiff, crackly material noisy. It's not terrible but something to be aware ofZippers are slightly noisy. Again not a deal breaker but not super silentHip belt pockets can be kind of hard to access one handed when filled up

Fantastic Pack!!!
I researched hunting packs and landed on this one. The major reason is that it comes in Kryptek Highlander camo. I’ve ahead a Slumberjack sleeping bag for over 20 years and have gotten lots of good use out of it so I respected the brand. The features are kind of standard for a hunting pack in the same price range. As with most packs I had to cinch down all the straps to the max as I’m 5’06” 145lbs. MOLLE is a great idea in case I want to add some pouches. The beaver tail is a great addition and will allow for more storage if I need it. And to top it off the weapons retention loops will also allow for hands free walking in rough terrain. Now, I just need a shot at a nice buck!!!

Great for hiking and fishing too
I love this backpack for several reasons. It is comfortable and a good size for day trips. The side pockets fit 32oz Nalgene water bottles in them and are way better than the crummy mesh side pockets most backpacks have. The straps are nice and the pockets on the waist straps are handy for frequently used objects. Although I don't hunt, I use the the firearm sling for a fishing rod. The material is thicker than most hiking backpacks, which makes the pack more durable for off-trail adventures. The zippers are large and are higher quality than zippers on every other backpack I have had. I am very picky about outdoor gear because most of it is garbage and doesn't hold up to real use. This is a great pack so far! I use it every day!

Great pack for the money
I originally had bought the larger version of this pack from Slumberjack but it was too large for my needs. This is a well made pack and lightweight. It's comfortable and has a lot of adjustment. I only wish it had large open pockets on the sides for lashing in a stool, spotting scope or other long item. It still has lots of lashing points and will suit my needs. I put it on par with Tenzing, Alps, or other higher priced packs.

100% great.
Wow. This bag is everything it claims to be and probably just a bit more. Served me well on 2 hunting trips, 1 vacation, and 1 camping trip, and has remained in perfect condition. There’s just enough room in every compartment to say that it’s perfect. Love the camo, the quality is top notch, and now I’m broke lol that’s my only complaint. But I can honestly say I would have paid more for it and still been just as happy.

Been great so far
Got this for a hunting back. Live then beaver tail option. Can easily get 1/2 a deer or an Elk qtr in there to pack. Used on a turkey hunt so far. Covered about 6 miles a day. Was comfortable. Zippers good quality. Pleased so far.
