I saw the reviews about the timer not working on the remote. I had the same issue and was going to return the product as defective even though I love everything else about it. It's easy to install, the light is fully adjustable, and having the dimmer option is great. I could NOT get the remote timer to work though until I tried something which has worked. The directions are non-existent for using the remote and timer functions. To make the timer work I did the following and it's perfect: 1. do NOT turn the light on. 2. Press RESET 3. Press the time you'd like the light to be on for 4. Now Press ON. If you have the light on which seems intuitive as you select the time you'd like to set, the light will automatically go off in a few seconds. So yeah, it seems defective but it's not. There are no directions at all so I can only assume my findings are correct. I would give this 5 stars but for the lack of instructions.
