Bought two to copy files, pics, and vid off my phone two days ago, to "make sure I had at least one good backup copy". Copied images from phone. Deleted files from phone. Neither drive shows up on my laptop right now. Scanned drives before using, made sure it had been ok to remove drives. Waste of money and permanently lost family videos. Should have read reviews. I'll keep trying to got one of them to connect.

works as marketed with ps4 just connect and format and you are good to go easy to use not heavy good size for the amount if space and compatible with all usb3 ports no problems with where to put it. sits snug next to ps4 so its easy to mount.

After a bit of research I felt that this was the best “bang for the buck” and now that I’ve used it I have no regrets. I was able to transfer 70GB worth of videos off of my iPhone and onto the hard drive in about a half hour (ran in the background while using my phone, which I couldn’t do when using a cloud storage system.) Phone has no trouble powering the device. Hard drive showed up and was ready to go within seconds of plugging it in. Same size and quality, and platter noise, as my $200 hard drive (that wouldn’t work with my iPhone). I will be buying another for my wife, another for myself, another for the milk man. I am very pleased if I haven’t made it obvious enough.

This is amazing. I was able to back up my laptop. There was no dad a loss I can't really comment on speed. Because I never did this before. I was satisfied with the speed, oh, the download.Considering my situation. Everything seems stable.The cable fit very well.It was stable.It's very compact and and easy to store. The device itself seems stable. It's in a nice case on the outside. It's not flimsy or anything like that. Me being a novice in this area, I consider it to be a good product. It got the job done quickly.Considering the job that it had to handle.

At first, this drive was everything I had hoped it would be. It had the storage capacity I needed at a very attractive price point. All of my peers with more experience dealing with computer hardware advised against purchasing a drive and trusting my data with an unknown company. I thought surely their advice was outdated and that today's newest hardware was better across the board. I should have listened. Initially, this drive performed admirably. It arrived quickly, looked and felt both attractive and high quality. It was easy to set up, the form factor was portable, and it was good to go in a matter of minutes. True plug and play. I formatted it as an automatic backup for my computer (Apple Time Machine), and it worked fine--for a few weeks. Then, right after 30 days had passed (and the Amazon return window had closed), the drive began having trouble mounting to the computer and exhibited a characteristic noise repeatedly. Spin....click, spin....click, repeatedly, about every second or two. For a few days, unplugging and reconnecting the drive physically made the problem go away, but now it is completely bricked. I'm fortunate that no critical data was lost, as it was backed up elsewhere, but the fact remains that I spent money on a drive that worked for a month and quit. I tried contacting the company directly, explaining the situation, but I never heard back from them. I give this drive two stars because it did work fine initially, and perhaps I received the unlucky rare bad drive of the lot. Your mileage may vary. But I would NOT recommend this drive or this brand at all. It is a risky buy, and I would recommend sticking to other known brands, even if they cost a bit more.

Well I was in the middle of trying to decide to send it back after reading some stuff on google I figured out how to get it to reformat so I could actually copy videos and pictures to from the MacBook Air M1 I’m happy with this purchase
