Pretty marbles, I bought these to put in a shallow saucer to fill with water so the bees can drink without drowning. They look attractive and serve a good purpose.

These were not bought to play with, but to put in silicone dough bags to use as fermentation weights. The bag is important!!! A sanitary impermeable layer needs to be between food and glass that was never meant to be used in food preparation for appropriate food safety (A plastic bag is too weak to handle the weigh of the marbles and may burst.). I had bought one bag of marbles locally from the dollar store, but when I returned…nothing, so I ordered these. Between these two bags and the other one, I had enough marbles for two bags for two gallon jars for sauerkraut fermentation. Vencer crock weighs (They are 23 oz per pair and 1.5 bags of marbles gave me 25-26 oz in the dough bags.) which are made for crocks, not jars, are incredibly difficult to place in jars that have the right amount of pre-ferment in them…getting the weights past the jars “shoulders” is the issue if the jar is too full. All marbles were washed and dried first. There were no cracked ones in the bag. 🤣🤔 These marbles even came vacuum sealed for freshness…(see picture)
