I’ve used mod podge before and I don’t remember it smelling so sharp, but it works pretty well to seal a 500 piece puzzle. This little 2 ounce bottle with sponge applicator was pretty convenient and not difficult to apply. But it was exactly enough to seal a 20 x 20 puzzle. Not a drop more or less. Most 500-1000 piece puzzles are at least 20 x 24, so if you were expecting it to seal a large puzzle, just buy the big jar and pick up a sponge applicator at Lowe’s or Michael’s for $1.

First time I've framed a puzzle and this did a very good job. I highly recommend. dries fast and the finished puzzle is beautiful. I chose the Matte finish.

The glue itself works great, but the foam applicator is terrible. I ended up having to throw it away because it got torn up by the puzzle piece edges. I used an old cheap paint brush instead and that worked great. Go liberal on your application, otherwise the pieces won't stay together.

I bought the small bottle because I only needed to seal one puzzle. The description made it sound like 2 ounces was more than enough. My puzzle was 19" x 27" and the bottle was not enough to seal the entire thing. Disappointed.
