I have several other tuning fork mallets and this one is the BEST> High quality and so easy for my hands to hold onto while doing a healing session. I was so impressed by the quality of this item, I bought 2 more for each bag of tuning forks and chimes. Highly recommend.

Purchased this mallet to use in my tuning fork sessions and I could not be happier. Works well. Will definitely purchase more.

Not as pictured. Picture shows a wooden stick with a round rubber ball on the end. Actual item is a metal rod with a short wooden handle on one end and a cylindrical acrylic rod on the other end, shaped like a hammer. I actually needed the wooden stick / round ball shape in this case, I can't use what I received. I'm guessing this is some kind of glitch with the item posting, because when I click to write a review the picture changes from a white background stick / ball item to a blue background hammer-shaped item that looks like I received. And when I go back to the item listing, I again see the stick / ball shape on a white background.

Some of these hammers are fine, but with some of them I needed to use wood glue to fasten a piece at the top of the handle.
