lightning rod shock.
A great rod for the price. First off I'll say I'm an Abu Garcia man. I use their reels and veritas rods. I bought this rod to use with my 1980 abumatic 150. I got the reel when was 6 in 1980. After 20 years I got it back from a family member. It looks and works like new. It originally had a berkely rod with it. I bought this rod to pair with the abumatic. The rod is pretty solid and seems like it will hold up well. It has a great look to it and an over a great action. I wanted the cork handle look for that older look. Not relay part of my heavy arsenal but use it now and then.

Good action. Good feel, but this is the second lightning rod that snapped on me. Two is enough for me, I'm staying with Ugly Stick

Fr the price you pay you can't beat it! A good rod for bass fishing using jigs or creaturebaits. It has enough backbone to handle it.

great tough rod that is perfect for braid at a reasonable price.
Excellent rod, really handles braid well. Good action, light weight, yet solid backbone for those hooksets on the big redfish!

SO FAR THE ROD WORKS WELL AND GREAT PRICE. I READ THAT THEY BREAK BUT SO FAR MINE HAS NOT.

Avoid at all cost!!!
Worst fishing rod I have ever purchased. Broke on the second cast..not a fish mind you..a cast. Save yourself the trouble and avoid Berkley. Their customer service department has not responded to my request for a solution to an obvious manufacturing flaw.
