These little submersible pumps are just the ticket. We use them in our research and development lab for delivering solutions. I don't know if they've all been made by the same manufacturer, but we've had a half a dozen of them of different sizes and they all look essentially the same. I've never had one fail yet. We don't generally challenge them with a lot of head pressure. They are quiet, seem to consistently deliver the same volume, and the housings are sturdy. They come apart easily to get the junk washed out. If I had a small garden pond or a water feature, this is the first pump I would try.

This little pump works great for my patio fountain. Ready to use right out of the package. And, it was a better price than I could get at any of the local stores. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I used this in a ceramic fountain about 24 inches tall. It has run pretty much trouble free all summer. If the flow slows down you just have to clean the crud off the intake filter and it is back to full strength.

This pump does not move much water at only 6 inches above its output. I use it for a small fountain but it barely gets water flowing. A 40 gph pump worked about the same.

This item arrived on time with no problems. All parts were perfect and pump is now operating my fountain flawlessly. Company recommended cleaning regularly and our area gets a lot of cottonwood and Linden Tree seeds. As soon as I see any reduction in pumping, I clean out the screen and back it goes. Takes all of a minute or two.

The manual does not match the pump for maintenance disassembly. My last pump lasted 15 years. This pump started strong but now the flow is very slow.

I do aquaponics with these pumps. My rig uses ebb-and-flow which means the pump is on for 5 minutes, and then off for a few hours. The first pump I bought from Ponics worked well for almost two years. This one croaked in 3 months. So I rolled back to the first one, which I had replaced with the PP09205 because I thought bigger was better. Guess I was wrong. But caveat emptor, these pumps aren't very expensive and I'm not surprised the second one died. Even though I'd buy it again, I'd do it with the expectation that they might die at any time... like cheap computer hard drives.

This pump is a replacement for a 15 year old small fountain located on an outdoor balcony (Florida) and used only occasionally. My concern was that the pump might be too powerful or too weak compared to the original model. The seller's description which indicated the 'height' of the water (eg, two feet) was a big help. The pump perfectly replicated the original pump water flow.
