My use for this is generally single-servings of white rice and this is the perfect appliance for the job. It has a small footprint on my counter, takes barely any prep work (pour in rice, pour in water, press a button, done) and the rice is consistently perfect. I set it up before I feed my dogs and I don't have to monitor the rice cooking in any way. Sometimes I set my phone timer to go off 10 minutes before the rice is done and I will crack an egg on top. By the end of the cycle I have an egg with the rice. I've experimented with veggies like broccoli and if you put them in at the right time you have a great little meal. I've never owned a rice cooker and only used one a few times but it was huge and bulky. This is perfect if you want to replace meals with a huge healthy bowl of rice.

We have used this many times now for Jasmine, brown, and Rice Select Royal Blend. All came out perfectly even their cook times were different. We used the Carb Reduction Tray wth no issues, though it takes longer to cook the rice. Directions were easy to follow and it is essy to clean.

I love my green pan rice cooker. It makes rice fast and perfect every time. And I love the low-carb setting. It’s the one I use the most. I did a lot of research trying to find the best rice cooker and when it came to quality to money, this was the best one I could find.

This will only cook 1-1/2 cups of low carb rice. I got a renewed box. And it works as others have reported. I got this for the low carb functionality in which it cooks in a pot and not suspended in a steamer. Also the pot is ceramic coated. The taste of the rice is very similar to a standard cook on the old zojirushi. It may be just slightly softer. If you let it sit for more than a few hours to the max stand by time, a section will get watery and others with begin to dry and harden at the bottom of the pot. The stay warm feature is for 24hrs. After that it turns off on its own. It’s easy to clean because of the ceramic coating. It looks very modern. It’s also hard to see the low carb water fill line because the pot color is so dark. I could recommend this to others.

Bought an open box deal for 'mint condition' and couldn't be happier. I have cooked various organics: wild (black) rice, jasmine rice and beluga lentils to great reviews from my family. I get time back and have these delicious foods ready to pair with whatever main course I am serving and any leftovers go into a chicken soup, beef stew, mixed veg medley... delighted! Incredibly easy to use and clean. I bought with the non-chemical return into my food at the top of mind. This machine is heaven sent. Thanks, GreenPan. I would happily of paid full price but who doesn't like a bargain!! First they sent me green color in error and I returned and got the white as intended. Good looker.

Love this rice cooker. And I don’t need to scrub the interior. Everything comes right off. Great size and easy to use.

This is very versatile cooker, I like steel cut oats, I can turn this on and have this going get my shower and it ready when I am finished. Great for Rice and stone grits. Highly recommend, it is definite time saver. Kind of a set and forget it for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
