This hoover has been worth every penny. It’s really powerful, pulls the carpet up so it’s left looking like new. It picks up all dirt, whilst slightly heavy, it’s easy to manoeuvre, wire is sturdy and strong. It’s great forwards and back, against edges and the smart detect is so clever. Highly recommend and an excellent purchase.

Shark claims this is "THE BEST OVERALL CLEANING OF ANY CORDED UPRIGHT VACUUM", and we have no reason to doubt that. It cleans carpets noticeably better than the Shark portable liftaway this is replacing, eradicating cat hair, and leaving the carpets looking professionally cleaned. Cons: this model is significantly heavier (at 7.5kg) than the portable liftaway, which can make manoeuvring in tight corners a bit of a struggle, and wouldn't want to carry it up and down stairs much. Also expensive, but we got a very attractive Prime Day deal. Pros: the powered head pulls the vacuum along effortlessly, and the overall mass is very well balanced on the wheels, so with a little practice it's little effort to move around when powered off. The powered head in liftaway mode cleans under beds and tables much better than any previous cleaner we've owned. The "additional attachments" include a duster and a powerful upholstery brush which is also excellent for carpet in tight corners. The design of the dirt canister is improved; emptying and cleaning are much easier than the predecessor. The power switch on the handle is a big improvement. Overall build quality is very good, with robust and thoughtful engineering.

This is my second Shark product after purchasing a carpet cleaner of theirs i thought eh il treat myself to a Shark hoover and settled fr this one, After much debate im only giving this 4 stars though and il explain why.. Advantages Its an amazing hoover, easy to carry and use on the stairs, easy to clean, lightweight, easy to empty, hoover attatchments are brilliant the scent for the hoover disc is great (although I either became nose blind or it didnt last as long as I thought it should) Different modes- hard floor, carpet or detect (detect does have a pull on it and WILL pull you forward chasing the bits of fluff, hair or w/e it detects) Disadvantages 1-Works better on some carpets than others (if you have a carpet with the ridges where hairs get stuck in them it doesn't work as good and picks up about 50% of them and struggles to pick up the hairs stuck in the carpet) 2-it didnt last, this is my second hoover after purchasing the first one in July 2025 as I needed a more pet friendly one that could be split so it was easy to use on the stairs. Come 2 weeks before Christmas and my hoover stops working, it makes the noise but has no suction power, bear in mind this is not something I expect from a pretty well known brand whos products are raved about, I expect them to last longer than 5 months, bright side after speaking with shark then amazon customer service, they ordered it to be picked up 2 days later and a replacement dropped off the same day so I didnt have to go too long without a hoover dealing with 2 dogs and a toddler, for that reason im giving it 4 stars instead of 3 for how quick they dealth with the issue, my only hope is this replacement lasts longer than 5 months Other than that it is a great hoover, powerful enough to do its job, the longevity is questionable however but that aside, its worth it

My previous Shark worked well, but this one is on a completely different level.Forward or reverse, it keeps pulling the dirt out. Like a shark in the sea, this is a real predator on the carpet—it doesn’t just skim the surface, it goes after what’s still buried deep. The PowerDetect and reverse cleaning are the standout features. I thought my carpet was already clean, but after using this, the amount it pulled out of just one room was genuinely surprising. Cleaning in both directions isn’t a gimmick—it saves time and delivers a deeper result. It also almost drives itself like a lawnmower. The brush roll helps pull it along, so it feels much easier to use than you’d expect for something this powerful. The end result is a proper deep, “finished” clean—you can see it and feel it straight away. It is slightly heavier and corded, but that’s the trade-off for the performance you’re getting. One last point—on a previous Shark I owned, I had an issue, and their customer support sorted it quickly with no fuss. That gave me confidence to stick with the brand. Pros: Strong suction – pulls out hidden dirt Cleans forward and reverse Self-propelled feel makes it easier to use Noticeably deeper clean Reliable customer support Cons: Slightly heavy Corded Overall:A clear step up from my previous Shark. If you want a vacuum that genuinely deep cleans, this is it.

This beast is almost industrial in its ability to find dirt and hair. It is demonstrably superior to its predecessor and easy to weild on all surfaces. The added tools work well but I wish there was a better way of storing them on the machine - they have a tendency to fall off, particularly on the cable side. Not cheap, in comparison to other machine. Too early to say if it will last well but the Shark it is replacing gave me a decade before it died. It would still be going if I could get into the housing where the cable attaches but that is another story.

A brilliant hoover, however it broke within 3 months - a known fault with the brush roll. I expect it's a fairly common fault as the replacement part it completely out of stock and you could be expected to wait 3-4 weeks without a hoover before they're able to replace it. The brush roll is fully encased, you can't access it at all, so if it breaks out of warranty you'd need to buy the part again. While I rate shark hoovers, the customer service is lacking and I definitely wouldn't choose this model again.

After seven years my previous shark has finally given up. I looked at other brands but ultimately went with Shark as I personally trust the brand name and it was on sale at the time so that was convenient. I have two Border Collies and a cat so having the Anti Hair wrap is amazing. The reverse clean is very noticeable and I love that it auto detects from carpet to tile or hardwood floors. Adequate suction that also auto detects so will increase when you hoover near a wall or if it detects the carpet is dirtier than normal. Light weight so easy to use on the stairs. The Design is great allowing you to detach most of the parts allowing to get under furniture without having to move it. I'm pleased with the three dust filters and I clean them once a month as suggested.

Excellent product, well built and solid construction. My only two complaints would be that the dust bin is very small and the cord is too short and feels like it was made using a heavy gauge wire that is not very flexible. My complaints are minor and it’s a very good, flexible vacuum. Unfortunately, Shark doesn’t sell upright vacuums in Sweden so I had to pay about £120 in Swedish customs duties because a majority of British people believed the lies of Nigel Farange and Boris Johnson.
