Citizen Promaster Divers BN0150-28E, Belt Type:

I bought this to replace my lost Citizen Eco-Drive Promaster 300M Diver's Watch BN0000-04H. This watch is only 200m rated and, the fact is, I’ve never been any deeper than 3m in water with any of the watches I own; So yeah only a minor difference from my old one. This new model does however have features I do like better such as a bigger and easier to read dial and date, a larger & offset crown (making it comfortable on the wrist), and a better looking rubber strap. However, the old 300m one had details that I wished this one had - the older model had a mono block body (no screw-off case back), a beautifully embossed (almost carved) world logo on the back casing, a fully knurled rotating bezel and a gorgeous waffled textured black face for the dial. The back of this watch has only been laser etched with the eco drive logo. This watch really reminds me of my old Seiko divers from the 1980’s more so than my old Citizen 300m…and that’s altogether not a bad thing. Details aside, it’s a great watch and I think it would’ve been greater had Citizen added a day & date on that front dial instead of just a date. If this model holds up to the standards of ruggedness and reliability of the old one I had lost, then I can rest assured I’ll have a great time piece for many years to come…provided of course I don’t lose this one.

I’ve had my Citizen Promaster Dive for a while now, and it’s honestly one of the best watches I’ve ever owned. It feels solid, looks great, and performs flawlessly. The Eco-Drive is a game changer — no batteries to replace, ever. The lume is bright, the bezel turns smoothly, and it’s tough enough to handle anything I throw at it, from swimming to hiking. It’s dependable, stylish, and built like a tank. Totally worth it. I must add that the bezel did get a little stuck. It took quite a bit of pressure to turn at one point. I just rinsed it under running water for a few seconds while turning the bezel and it loosened up and works perfectly now.

I'm not going to write some detailed review as there are plenty of other sources for that info. What I will do is mention a few things that some Amazon shoppers may be interested in. First - I purchased this on April 15/2019 and received a serial number with an October 2018 manufactured date. That's pretty good so you shouldn't have any worries about old stock here. Second - Every thing out of the box was bang on. The minute/hour hands are on point and the second hand is hitting every mark. The bezel is also very solid. I have no wiggle on mine like some reviews state. I am extremely happy with the build of this watch. Third - While the lume is very bright and much better than most other watches I've seen it doesn't last nearly as long as some people will have you believe. I have no idea how some people can claim it lasts into the middle of the night. It does not. Fourth - Mine came in a very nice small circular type storage box. Not the scuba tank like some reviews say. Not sure if that was an older packaging or if it's limited to certain regions but you will not receive that here. Still though, the storage box it comes in is actually rather nice and small making it great for storage when not in use. This was actually a pleasant surprise for me as it's not just some cheap ugly throw-away box. It looks very nice and could go on a dresser for display. That's about it. This is a fantastic watch. Very accurate and looks fantastic. Love it.
