Based on reviews about longevity and full coverage, I was bit hesitant originally but gave it a shot given organic, PPD/Ammonia free. Each packet serves at a minimum of 2 coloring period at a minimum. It gave a me good coverage and long lasting for about 4-6 weeks which is normal with any hair dye. Overall, I am very satisfied and less worried about side effects from other brands harsh chemicals. It does not smell heavy chemical as other brands. It smells orange which I like. It does not trigger Asthama episodes from other chemical based hair dyes. Overall, I feel good about this and bought more of these lately

It's my first time to buy this product that's why i did the sensitivity test. I was disappointed because it says no ammonia and no peroxide but my skin reacted to the sensitivity test.

I really like the way my hair came out. And at least for a few days after washing it I had beautifully thick hair. I am on Nutrafol for thinning hair (which is working nicely). But for some reason after dying it my hair was thick. It’s back to its regular volume now lol. 2 negative things. I bought dark brown and like a few other reviewers my hair turned black. Now I had a lot of gray to cover so I left it on over an hour. Maybe that was the issue And it stains which was good for my scalp because it also stained it (like dying your brows the skin with no hair gets stained). So I looked like I had more hair. But my hands and sink also got stained Wear gloves. It’s 2 weeks now the black is still there even after hours of oil in my hair which used to work to take away excess dye. Slight bits of gray coming thru at the roots. You could probably get away with 4-6 weeks of color before you dye again I’m going to get medium brown and mix a little dark brown next time. The Morticia Adams look is too draining for my Mediterranean skin tone 😂

I tried several brands for no ammonia and no harsh chemicals, there was always something negative that drove away to look for different brand, last it was very good brand not expensive but the smell is terrible. This is the first time trying Indus Valley it was impressive experience, I used 50% of the total amount, I wanted medium brown but couldn’t find it so I bought dark brown for the purpose to try it. No smell, cheap and my hair feels good and no chemicals for real this time. It will be my first choice from now on but hopefully I find medium brown. By the way I forgot to mention it covered all the grays with no extra time needed. I willl update the review for any news Thanks for Indus Valley !

I have been using this product since 2019. It has been great for me with PPD sensitivity. It smells like oranges and is very easy to use. I also brought this to my hairstylist to color my hair, and she loved the gentleness and effective coloring. She found no damage to my hair despite my frequent use of the color. However, after four years of enjoying the product without any allergic symptoms, the reaction returned after the purchase this summer. Not only did the design of the box change, but so did the ingredients. Now they do not have the line "No PPD" on the box. (I wish they could notify us of the BIG change) I have to stop using it in the middle of the treatment because of a burning sensation and itchiness, leaving a very uncomfortable feeling on my scalp with a significant amount of fallen hair. I would have avoided using it if I had known the change. Since I trusted the product, I purchased 4-6 boxes at a time, so I still have 4 unopened boxes, but they are all in the newly designed boxes which I cannot use. I wish I could get the previous version of this hair color. If you have NO PPD allergies, please enjoy the product with its ease of use without any harsh smell. Update 4/29/2025: "NO PPD" has been added back to the box. I would appreciate it if others could share reviews confirming whether this is true. Thank you so much!

Easy to apply with simple hair colouring kit. Gives a natural shine and color to hair.

I used this colour thinking it does not have chemicals like PPD , even though on the box it states it does not , I had a allergic reaction from it ,It worked well and easy to use , only downfall it has chemicals , and it’s my second suffering from the blisters and itching.
