Definitely upgrade from Q7
We have purchased originally Q7 and loved it but it was bumping a little bit around some places and running over some items. It is a great sale now on this brand and we decided to return the Q7 and upgrade to Q10 which does much better job avoiding the objects and have some other extra features. The machine is about one inch larger in diameter but still fits everywhere where the Q7 could get into. I think it's a great deal for such a high quality design and reliability plus the maps are very customizable so you can tweak it to perfection. We could not believe how much dust it pulls out of the carpets even after multiple times. We never realized that there is so much dust growing and collecting. The mopping function with vibrator is great and carpet sensors do a great job.

Does Not Work-Only 6 months-Do Not Buy
I bought the Roborock 7 months ago (June 2025), and as of today (February 2026) it will not vacuum correctly. It does not pick up simple dirt (no suction from vacuum), now it does not recognize my house and it’s so loud, that I can’t run it when home due to loudness! As to before it was super quiet & I could run while home with no bother. I have a cat, so between the cat hair and my long hair, in the beginning (first 5 months), it would vacuum perfectly and pick up smoothly! I would come home to clean floors!! But I notice 6 months in, it was starting to make very loud noise when it starts, then it eventually stopped picking up hair and simply daily dirt that your floors collect. I bought this specific vacuum because it said it works on pet hair, obviously not!! I spent $300+ for this vacuum just to work properly for six (6) months - very heart breaking. I bought it because reviews seem to work well - but it’s been completely opposite for me after just 6 months of owning it. I clean the vacuum after each use, which was set to 3 times a week, but now set to daily to “try” to vacuum what it can. I find myself going back to old school - broom and mop! When I take off my shoes, when I walk on my floors, I can feel the dirt on the bottom of my feet cause the vacuum didn’t pick up anything. Unless you want to spend your money for something to work just six months, then don’t buy! You will find yourself disappointed that you invested in something that doesn’t work. I sure do hope this vendor reaches out to me to make it right - but i doubt it.

Very Good Unit
Q10 S5. After 6 years my old robot vac just lost its way. Really, it could no longer find the dock even though it knew where to look. Research said the Q10 S5 was a new unit and woould work well. Can confirm. This works as expected. With two cats we get lots of shedding and this picks up most of it. There is one carpet that we occassionally use a powerful upright to deep clean the fur but for day to day the Roborock does the trick. In fact, we bought a second related Q10. The second, Q10 X5 is used upstairs which is all carpet. Picks up the fur and clay litter sand that gets tracked everywhere. The S5 is used downstairs because it has a better mopping capability. We haven't tested the mopping part yet. It can navigate switches from hardwood to area rugs with ease. The quick mapping is amazing. Lots of technical progress in the years since our last non-Roborock unit. Setting no-go areas is fairly easy but hard to do fine placement. And, while the official limit is 10 no-go areas I can only save 5 per map. Suction is very good. To affect a good emptying of the dust bin takes opening the side panel and removal of the filter to get to the debris stuck to it and elsewhere in the bin. I wonder if the plus version would have been worth the extra money. Battery life has been sufficient to cover about 900sf of carpet at high suction, single pass. Would probably do a double pass using the mid-level suction. All vacs make noise but it is less so than our uprights and slightly less than our old robot vac. I like that it does a good job, quickly, avoids obstacles and does so at a price that is much less than many more expensive models.

Great value, performance and tech
Great choise for a robot that vacuums and mops it, It's versatile and does a great job on my flat, just love it... I give 4 stars because with light thin carpets it struggles even using the pass though option... It takes the carpet along with it and can obstruct the vacuum duct, thus I have to pick them up before the robot starts vacuuming. The answer bstacle avoiding and the lidar maping works great.

Not working how a $400 robovac should
I had the same Roborock for 4 years and suddenly it started telling me a wheel was “short circuting”. I figured, it gave me a good 4 years and it was time for an upgrade. I decided on the Q10 S5 (which, figuring out these models and their features is a full time job in and of itsefl). It was a new model with mopping which my current one didnt have, so I was excited. I’ve had this robot for a couple of weeks now and I am pretty unimpressed. The amount of times it has just stopped for no reason what so ever is wild. I go to restart it and the cleaning cycle starts over from the beginning. I have no clue whats going on. There is nothing obstrucing it and my house is very tiddy and clean. Nothing is changing in its path from day to day so I can’t explain it. All I know is that I am about to return this guy and try something else cause paying $400 for a vacuum, you do expect it to do the bare minimum without daily issues.

Roborock ROCKS
Just broke my ankle and I am ocd when it comes to cleaning. Took a chance and bought this Roborock. One of the best decisions I have ever made. This appliance is WONDERFUL! I highly recommend. Better than my upright

If you have pets this robot vacuum is awesome! The suction picks up pet hair so well and helps to maintain the floors in between major cleaning. I have tried out a few other robot vacuums and this one by far works the best! Easy to setup and map out the house as well. Also it has options to change the power of suction which really helps for the floors staying clean!! Highly recommend this!

I had my doubts that this unit was going to be as good as it is since my last robot vacuum was a real pain in the a$$. I got this one on sale and it has so many features and the room mapping and app is perfect. I let this unit run at night when I'm sleeping and it completes the job without getting stuck on anything. Plus, I can check the map log and see that it covered the entire floor. The room mapping is a must which makes these units more efficient. I mainly only use the vacuum mode but I have used the mop and it does work well. Make sure to get the mop pad wet before running it and make sure to clean the mop pad after use. Only time will tell if this unit was last long but the build quality seems very good. I'll update my review to reflect any problems if that time comes in a short period of time. Update: 02/27/2026. I can no longer recommend this vacuum/brand. The App has become unusable since changes to the mapped zones will not work. Anytime I tried to add or adjust no-zones, the map reset to previous saved It was working at first but with recent updates, it’s now broken. Stay clear of this brand for now. Maybe some day they might fix it. Who knows. For now, I’m extremely disappointed with this purchase. I’ll update my review if this gets fixed.

Basic vacuum, it is not perfect but still good enough to keep the floor relatively clean. It misses some spots, mopping needs improvement. Overall I am satisfied.

I've tried a lot of robot vacuums, but RobotRock is hands down the best one yet. It's powerful, quiet, and actually works without getting stuck every five minutes. My floors have never been cleaner! What I love most is how well it handles pet hair, expecially for people have two dogs. The suction is strong, and the brushes don't get clogged. It also maps my house efficiently, so it doesn't miss spots or bump into furniture like cheaper models. The battery lasts long enough to clean my entire downstairs, and it recharges itself if it runs low. The app is super easy to use—I can schedule cleanings or control it remotely. The only minor downside is that the dustbin could be a little bigger, but emptying it every couple of days isn't a huge deal. For the price, it's an absolute steal compared to big-name brands. If you're tired of dragging out a heavy vacuum or dealing with mediocre robot cleaners, this one is worth every penny. Five stars from me!

It cleans ok, missing only 1 or 2 inches near the corners. My Neato had much greater airflow at the air vent, but this one has a more sealed air input so I can't tell which one is more efficient vacuuming yet, it feels very similar. Mopping is basic, having trouble with anything that is a little bit more adherent to the floor, as paint chips (from sanding the wall). And you may need to pre-wet the pad, or it will run dry in the begging. What I did not like, are the bugs/glitches. Often it stops mopping suddenly, as if hitting something, and then walks randomly as if drunk for 5-10s, hitting stuff along the way, before resuming. When it happens it often misses some spots. Apparently it only happens when mopping, but it is frequent enough that it happens almost every time a vacuum the house, often more than once. It seems to be a common problem as reported by others. It is also annoying that it tries to find the dock station, even when it finished vacuuming the whole floor that does not have it. It should just go back to where it started as my Neato does. The dust bin has an access door and the hinge broke the first time I tried to open it. No, I did not use excess force or did anything wrong, it is just weak plastic. The mopping liquid in it also leaks (a lot) when robot is upside down, which I often needed to put it in order to pre-wet the mopping pad, or clean it. 1 Month Update: More issues. Now I noticed that when I walk near it, the floor flexes a bit (unnoticeable by me) but enough to disconnect the robot and wake it up and say START CHARGING. Sometimes it would even move away from the base and try to dock again. It is very repeatable and annoying. I believe that the connector has a flawed design. Also, I noticed that at least one time, when it happened, it was unable to dock. It would try to align in front of it and just before going back, it would give up and start over the align and repeat it for many times. Even when I moved it away, it would reposition in front of it and repeat the loop. After 5 minutes waiting I gave up and docked it myself. So, unless Roborock fix these issues, I cannot give this product a better score. And I am going to return it. Also, because the issues are a mix of hardware and software issue, It can't be entirelly fixed with FW update only. I ordered now a Mova S10 which has similar specs and is currently $50 cheaper.
