I bought this ice maker for my dad, who is a charter boat captain, and it completely solved a daily problem for him. He ended up enjoying it so much, I purchased a counter top ice maker for my own house 😆 Before this, he was constantly stopping to buy bags of ice before trips. It was expensive, sometimes unavailable, and honestly, the quality wasn’t always great. Now, he can make his own ice at home or bring this unit with him on the boat — no more last-minute stops or unreliable bagged ice. This machine works fast. It produces a batch of ice (about 6 cubes) in roughly 8 minutes and can make over 25 lbs of ice per day, which is more than enough for his needs. You can choose between two ice sizes, and the cubes have a hollow center. The texture is actually one of the best parts — they’re slightly soft (great if you like chewable ice) but still solid enough to last a long time. In a good insulated tumbler, the ice holds up extremely well. The machine is very easy to operate. Just add water and press start to begin. It’s also compact and easy to place. It stands just under a foot tall, about 9 inches wide, and roughly 10.5 inches deep, so it doesn’t take up much counter space. The handle makes it easy to move around as needed. Cleaning is simple — there’s a self-cleaning function that runs with the press of a button and takes about 30 minutes. Overall, this has been a huge upgrade for convenience, cost savings, and reliability. No more overpriced bags of ice, no weird taste, and no worrying about availability. It was delivered today. We set it up right away, ran the suggested self cleaning process, then refilled it with water. It's been producing ice ever since. The bullet cubes are soft, but solid. Easy to chomp on. No funny taste at all, but we're using bottled spring water, not tap water. I'm definitely happy with this machine.

It’s impressive how it can produce up to 8 ice cubes in about 6 minutes, and the two size options are a nice touch depending on what you need for drinks or coolers. The compact, portable design fits well on my countertop without taking up too much space. It’s fairly quiet for a machine this size, and I appreciate that it can produce around 26 pounds of ice a day — more than enough for parties or daily use. The only minor downsides are that the ice basket isn’t very big (so you have to empty it often), and the water reservoir could be larger to avoid frequent refills. Overall, a solid countertop ice maker that delivers fast, reliable ice with minimal fuss.

Having 5 members in our household, including 3 kids who play sports year-round, we go through a lot of ice. We just threw away a name brand countertop ice machine that bit the dust after about 2 years. We have been using this one for about a month and a half now and are very pleased with it. I learned from my last one that cleaning these things regularly is extremely important to making them last. I love that this one has a cleaning button right on the front. Press the button and it goes through a cleaning cycle for about 5 minutes or so. Easy. You will also need to run some vinegar or other cleaner through it occasionally as well as wash out the inside and removable parts with soap and water. The way it's designed makes it much easier to clean than my old one. You will have to do all this with any ice maker. It produces a lot of ice in a very short time. The ice is crunchy and not super hard. Between this maker and the one built into our refrigerator, we have plenty of ice now. The design is perfect. Lower the door and scoop out what you need. As the ice in the hopper melts it simply is recycled and makes more ice. Who knows how long it will last, but so far, I have been impressed with the quality. I think as long as I keep it cleaned it will last for a long time. At this price and for the quality, I feel like this is a great deal.

Ice is great, machine is a little loud when it's running. Customer service is quick to respond, and handled my issue to my satisfaction.

I love this ice maker! I have very limited kitchen space, so this machine fits in perfectly. I love that it can be used when travelling, and I look forward to using it with my portable generator! We travel and picnic often during the warmer months and this will be a perfect tool for keeping our drinks nice and frosty!! :) 5 Stars!!!

I bought this to replace our Igloo counter top ice maker. That icemaker, after 3 years of continuous use, was crusted with minerals in spots we couldn't reach. I had to disassemble it several times over the years to get a good cleaning, but, this time upon disassembling, the bearings were rusted out, plastic parts were broken, and the mineral buildup was infested with mold. It couldn't be salvaged, so I bought this to replace it. I was disappointed to find that this unit's water reservoir and ice bin are half the size of the Igloo's. The Igloo reservoir held the equivalent of 2 large soda cups of water, while this unit only holds 1. The ice bin on this unit is half the size and, and due to its small size, it's much more difficult to scoop the ice out without dumping ice over the side of the unit. The unit works fine and makes ice quickly. I took off a star because I think it's mechanically identical to the Igloo only with a smaller reservoir and ice bin and I think it would've been better to charge a little more to double the ice bin and water reservoir sizes. We're now filling Ziploc bags with ice and storing them in the freezer so that we don't run out of ice. I fully expect this unit to eventually build up mineral deposits and develop rusted bearings and mold issues as you just can't clean these types of units effectively without disassembling them. Even then, it's not easy. I'm treating them as disposable. The Igloo was still working - even with the broken parts - it was just too gross this time to keep using. I expect the same will eventually happen to this unit.

It’s very nice ice and created in no time. The only thing I wish is that it would act as storage for the ice but you have to turn it off once you’re done making ice. It fits well on the counter.
