I did buy this Baby Groot. Not sure if he is official, but he looks great. The only reason I can see to sell him as a planter is he's a character that is a growing thing. I'm sure we all saw the first GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY film. Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel), a giant who is a living plant or tree, saves the other Guardians by covering them in a canopy of himself. But he is destroyed. The ending shows his friend Rocket (a character in the body of a raccoon), who secretly brings Groot back by potting him. In the second film, Groot is a baby full of mischief, who still can do amazing things, and seems to know what needs to be done. The only thing that I can see that makes this a planter (or a pencil holder) is that there is a hole that goes from the head of Groot, down to the bottom, allowing for drainage. I would think this configuration could easily tip over if a too large plant were in it. For me, Baby Groot sits smiling at folks when they gather around the water cooler. "I am Groot!"

Love this!! Was so happy when I opened it, looks great! I want to keep it for me but giving as a Christmas gift for my 7 year old son - he’s gonna love it! I think I’ll buy a few more.. The little extra guy it came with is super cute- My son will love that too! Definitely worth the price! So many people complaining about thinking it was 2 because the Title!?.. well read the discription people it’s clear that it’s one flower pot Groot. And really it IS two Groots because you get the little tiny toy too! :) Super happy with this purchase!! What a deal!

I love this little planter, I do wish it were bigger but I knew it would be a small planter. The drain hole is small so I made it a little bigger since I would use the planter for a succulent. Based on the reviews I was ready with my stain and paints to redo the paint on the planter but I received a perfect baby Groot the facial expression, detail, the green and brown shades of paint are perfect, the little planter is sturdy!!!!! Very happy with my purchase and for under 8 bucks it was a great deal in my opinion..... love love love my new little planter.

Item came promptly and well-packaged. I didn't expect it to be obviously plastic, but it is still attractive. I rated it 4 instead of 5 stars because I was surprised it wasn't wood -- the detailed picture represent it fully. However, the plastic will probably wear better than wood could. Got one for my grandgirl, who is delighted (!) and am saving the other for her mother's birthday, as she is also a big fan of Baby Groot. Her eyes got big when I gave her daughter the first one. Papa said to her, "You know you can't take that over, right?" Fortunately, her birthday is coming in a few weeks. Truly, very cute.

I loved Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy. This hard plastic plant holder/pen case is perfect for one 3 inch succulent plant or whatever type you choose. I put a plant that sticks upward and trails down as it grows so it looks like his hair. This is a small plant holder but well made and has a hole in it if you choose to use it as a planter for a small plant. It’s so cute just like the groot character.

Honestly I can’t believe how cute this little groom actually is in person!! Photos do NO justice!! It’s the perfect size, has some weight to it so it won’t fall or top over easily at all, and the attention to detail is top notch! I can’t believe I got this for so cheap and it’s such good quality! This is hands down the best griot product I’ve bought to date! HIGHLY recommend to anyone and everyone!

I'm currently using this for an air plant because I couldn't decide on what plant to actually put in this planter. It's pretty "plastic-y" but it does have 1 drainage hole at the bottom of the planter. I don't know if I would put something that has roots that are really sensitive to being moist unless I had a VERY well draining mixture in this planter. Because of the nature of the plastic, it would not be able to wick away any moisture like a material like terracotta. It's really freaking cute and I've seen people using it all over plant social media, so I would be confident in using this :)

Okay. This is not very big. But it is perfect for a desk area or any small area. It is well made and just like it is pictured. This is my second one. Ihave mine and this one will be a gift. I don't use it as a pencil holder but as a small planter. It is just perfect for a small succulent. Love Groot!
