This unit works really well even on some really hot days in the 100's. The ECO mode works great for maintaining the temperature after the room has been cooled, so far it hasn't been particularly expensive to run, I use it in my bedroom at night so I can't speak for the effectiveness in a large room, but for a bedroom this the cheapest and most efficient way to keep the room comfortable in the summer. I haven't tried out the heater yet, but that'll be in an update in the future. The unit is very quiet, you can barely tell it's on, the mute setting is probably not the most efficient setting but it does keep the room around 3 degrees of the set temperature late at night and it doesn't make the room drafty. The only qualm with this unit is the blower doesn't shut off after the set temperature is reached and it sometimes gets a lot colder than the set temperature, I had it set to 65 and it got down to 51 one night, I don't know why that happened, but on the ECO mode it seems to stay within the set temperature range until I turn it off. The app works great and is very easy to use, there's a setting to purify the air and it seems to work, although there's some debate on the potential dangers of being in an enclosed room while it's set, due to some ozone being produced. There's also some timer settings and a sleep mode that allows for the temperature to be gradually changed throughout the night until it turns off. The unit was very easy to install, the hardest part is making a hole in the wall and bending the lines, everything is very basic. You will need some extra things to install it. I bought a whip to run power to the main unit directly from the breaker box and a pull out disconnect. I used a vacuum pump to vacuum out the lines and check for leaks, I used Nylog on the fittings, I highly recommend it, I had no leaks whatsoever, overall it's very easy to install and can be done in 2-3 hours depending on what your walls are made of and the distance you have to run the lines.

Okay so I think most of us start off as skeptical of how affordable these are as to the quality, but I have to say this is the best purchase I’ve made in years! It came a day early and I put it in the same evening. Took around 4 hours to install but I’m no expert so it may take others less. I made an adapter plate out of plywood to put the head unit further down on my window, and I also put a 20amp 110 plug on the end. Works great with a 20amp dedicated breaker. You’ll need the vacuum out the lines with the pumps you see on here, I used the one that was $130 and it worked great. After you tighten the lines and hook up the hoses, make sure to keep the Allen screws in, vaccine the lines for 15 mins, and then turn the low side pressure knob off. If it rises back up there’s a leak, if not after 5 mins you’re all good! And you can open up the Allen screws. Again novice here but this was super easy and I’m very impressed with how well it cools, waiting on the heat as of now, just cause it’s summer.

I have bought one of these units before they worked really well, but it seems to be a major problem with delivery right now two orders bought neither one of them delivered when you get one and install it. It works good really cold and the installation is fairly easy once you managed to get the unit delivered correct correctly.

Very pleased with this minisplit. It was super easy to install. I did buy a Vevor pump and some long plastic rods to insert into the copper pipes to faciilitate bending without breaking. We installed this in a 14x24 sales shed with R13 insulation in the walls and roof and ran it off a 3,000 watt super quiet generator (to which we had attached all the lighting, wifi, computers, tv, coffee machine and small drinks regrigerator) and had zero problems. It kept the temperature very stable despite the constant entry and exit of customers all day long. Made the whole shed very comfortable, which, in middle Tennessee in the middle of summer is not that easy.

I have installed and used a ton of minisplits and brands. I have always bought name brand “pioneer,mitsubishi” always looms for the name brand compressors and all that. So I saw this onsale for prime days and ordered 2 to try out for $400 couldnt go wrong. So after seeing only a few reviews i was skeptical but to be-honest Im surprised. 1. The components and lines it comes with were above par and honeslty better than most of my pioneers 2. Unit is super quiet and cooled my office 16x32 from 90 degrees to 66 in a hour and half of hich is quick. 3 the only con i found is the wifi control its not the greatest it connected super easy but lags. Install is straight forward i always reflare the copper lines so it doesnt leak. But do not cut the fittings on the head unit they are brazed on and are the male end. “IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A VACCUM PUMP CRACK THE LOW SIDE LINE AT THE UNIT BARELY TAKE YOUR ALLEN WRENCH AND BARELY OPEN LIQUID LINE SMALL LINE TO FLOW REFRIGERANT ONCE YOU HEAR IT START COMING OUT LOW SIDE FLARE TIGHTEN IT DOWN REAL QUICK and then open both allens fully” Overall for the price you can go wrong. At the price these are at it is cheaper if you end up with a problem to just buy another unit. The 1 star deduction is for the wifi control

You can't really speak to a company's customer support until something goes wrong. I purchased and installed this unit it myself, which was a straight forward process for a reasonably handy DIY'er. The unit performed flawlessly for a good deal of time, but it seemed like something failed with the condenser fan and the outside unit over heated. It was past the return window so my heart dropped. I reached out to the support email address and recieved a response in less than 24 hours asking for a few pictures and some info. Long story short the team at Yithome offered to send a new outdoor unit or to send a small refund to help pay the cost of having someone come out and fix it!!! I opted for the replacement condenser and the team responded with a tracking number in a short time. The unit arrived very quickly and I'm back up and running! FIVE STARS for an outstanding and well built product, and for stellar support. Buy from Yithome with confidence!!!

I did have a problem with my initial delivery, but that issue was handled pretty smoothly with amazon return. Rockey start aside, and after having used this product for hot and cold weather, I am extremely satisfied with the output of this thing. I live in a single wide trailer (525sq ft) with failing insulation and draft holes everywhere and have been able to stay comfy on either end of the house, with the added bonus of a drop in the electric bill compared to window units and space heaters. install was easy and rather intuitive. However, YOU WILL NEED A VACUUM PUMP to draw the initial vacuum, it is not explicitly stated and to someone with no HVAC exp. this is not something you would inherently know ("Quick Connect" units DO NOT require you to draw the vacuum). This is the only "skilled" portion of the install. That being said it is easy to do but requires a good amount of attention to detail. you can typically hire a HVAC guy for around the same cost of a vacuum pump, use at your own discretion. I have no real complaints about it. it is insanely quiet; you can barely tell when the indoor unit is on; you hear the air 'whooshing' more than the fan. The outdoor unit is also really quiet and cannot even really be heard inside. Even with this place not being sealed, it is able to keep the humidity down during the summer and is doing well so far this winter. the remote is just a nice quality of life improvement as well. Product is exactly as advertised and far exceeds expectations. I even have family and visitors, unprompted, ask me where I got it because of how nice if feels in the house.

**1.5 Year Update – YITAHOME 12,000 BTU Mini Split AC/Heating System** I originally gave this YITAHOME 12,000 BTU mini split a good review after purchasing it on 3/18/25. At first, it was a great little unit. It cooled and heated efficiently, was quiet, and kept the space comfortable without constantly running. Installation was straightforward for someone with basic DIY skills, although you do need a vacuum pump and manifold gauges to properly install it. Unfortunately, after about a year and a half, my experience has changed. During the winter, the heating performance started to decline. Over time, it lost more and more ability to heat, and now the cooling performance has also dropped significantly. The unit that once worked great is now barely able to cool the room. I looked into having it repaired, but the cost didn’t make sense. Even just having the refrigerant checked and topped off was expensive enough that replacing the entire system was the better option. The refrigerant used in my unit is no longer commonly available and has become very expensive, making repairs impractical. While the initial performance and installation were impressive, the long-term reliability has been disappointing. A mini split that only lasts around 18 months before requiring a costly repair is not what I expected. I’m lowering my rating from my original review. It was a great-performing unit when new, but the short lifespan and expensive refrigerant situation make it hard to recommend for long-term use.
