Wilton Round Shot Glass Silicone Mold, 8-Cavity

A lot of the reviewers were expressing frustration with the difficulty of removing a cookie from the cookie mold after baking. However I used a recipe that uses extremely soft cookie dough. Out of over a dozen cookie shots, I didn't have a single one come out ruined. Maybe one in three or one in six had a small chunk come off the lip while removing them from the mold, but all of them function perfectly fine as shot glasses. All in all, my friends love these cookie shots. And my friends who don't drink just eat them like cookies. One of these cookie shots has 2 to 3 cookies worth of cookie dough, it's insane. I'll say it's a pain in the rear end to jam the cookie dough into the mold, you really gotta get in there with a spoon. Takes some elbow grease. You also have to be careful while removing the cookie shots. But if you smash the cookie dough into the mold and you carefully remove the cookie shots you will not have an issue. I highly recommend using a softer dough batter. A dough batter with more grease or butter or fat for example. By the way the cookie shots in my picture, I added homemade chocolate ganache to the inside to make them waterproof. We poured several shots worth of milk into a single cookie shot and the darn thing would not start getting soggy or leaking at all. We were expecting that the cookie shots would start to fall apart and we would have to eat them carefully or suffer some sort of mess. But no these things are really sturdy. And you can chuck them in your freezer and they'll last for months.

I bought this mold to make shot glasses out of hard candy (I used Jolly Ranchers). It works really well for that...and chocolate...and jello...and gummy bears. It's a lot of fun. I would definitely make a first batch before depending on it for guests on the first run. The instructions on the package don't specifically say that you can put this mold in the oven (though the amazon description does), but I have not had any issues with putting them in the oven at all. For my hard candy shot glasses, I just preheated the oven to 350 degrees, filled the mold with candies and put them in for about 11 minutes. After I took them out, I just used the back of a spoon to work the air bubbles out toward the edges so that everything came out smooth. Chocolate is much easier to melt and get the air bubbles out and wouldn't even require the oven (though I'll bet you could). I looked at the negative reviews to try to figure out what would make someone not like this mold. I think maybe some people are expecting to use them more as dessert bowls - they're shot glasses. Not sure that cookies would hold liquid. I'm not sure that ice would stay viable long enough to pick up with your warm finger and contents that you put in the glass. I never noticed any smell from my mold at all, even after heating them in the oven. I never had any issues with them not holding the shape of a shot glass. No need to spray the molds with any non-stick spray. Haven't had any problem with the contents not popping out correctly or "not working". However, what they do well is perform as a shot glass just as I expected

This is a great novelty idea for shots. Probably should go with 5 stars but the mould makes very thick shot glasses. I think thinner would be good. Take the shot and eat the shot glass. You can eat it of course, just thick.

This mold is so easy to pour. Also very easy to demold. I used up some extra resin from a few projects and they turned out awesome. I bet it's awesome for chocolate etc as well. Great value, I will use it a lot.

I like the flexibility of the silicone but they come out too thick. I used a 2lb bag to make 16 cups. And they are hard to eat.

Ich bin schon seit laaanger Zeit Fan der Firma Wilton. Fast alle meine Backutensilien sind von Wilton. Ich kann diese Form nur weiterempfehlen. Sie ist nicht zum Backen geeignet, lediglich für Iceshots, Schokoshots, Gelatineshots u.Ä. Zum Backen von Keksshots gibt es eine andere Form von Wilton. Diese Form ist super für Iceshots. Meine Freunde lieben es wenn ich diese mache. Außerdem kann man tolle Desserts mit Schokolade zaubern. Ein kleiner süßer Schokobecher gefüllt mit Mousse au chocolate. Da wetden die Gäste neidisch! Und es ist so einfach! 5 Sterne! Immer wieder
