Great battery life
These batteries for the X5 are so good I've not needed to use the spare yet even after filming all day

Does the job!
Can't complain one bit. The battery works, lasts for a decent amount of time and charges quite quickly.

Looks great and some minor issues
The Insta360 X5 looks great and maintains the same size as its predecessor, the X4. However, none of the X4 accessories—such as Lens Guards, Quick Reader, Mic Adapter, Battery, Fast Charger Hub, or Invisible Dive Case—are compatible with the X5. A notable design change is the repositioned charging port, now located at the bottom right corner of the device. Unfortunately, while I’m using the same case as the X4, the case’s slot opening no longer aligns with the USB-C port on the X5. During the firmware update, the progress bar percentage displayed on the camera and the mobile app varied significantly, with a difference of about ±7%. Aside from these aspects, the camera itself has a sleek and improved design compared to earlier Insta360 models and now features a built-in microphone wind muffler. One standout addition is the twist-to-start recording function—just a flick of the wrist, and the camera begins recording. This eliminates the need for a remote trigger and the hassle of bringing the camera close enough to operate manually. I love this feature—it's incredibly convenient. I haven’t yet tested its low-light performance at night, but I plan to do so over the weekend. I’m also gearing up for a day trip to Skomer Island, where I’ll capture footage of the puffins. Having upgraded from the Insta360 X4 to the X5, I’m excited to put it through its paces soon. Quick Tip: The box opens from the side rather than the top or bottom, which can be a bit misleading. Take care when unboxing to avoid any confusion or dropping the camera — refer to the attached photo for guidance.

Keep on filming
Can't go wrong with an additional battery makes a lot of sense.Because a filming time, is only 20 minutes and sometimes you might want to film for slightly longer
