Perfect for beginner gardening enthusiasts
Easy to grow Cypress Vine. Start seedlings indoors, prop with toothpicks as soon as spindly vines become 3" tall to give them climbing opportunities. Plant after danger of frost in loamy soil adding fresh planting soil to your established soil beds. I'm in zone 6B, so plants aren't quite ready to go in the ground yet until late March. My seeds germinated in 12 days. Keep a lightbulb on them all day for faster showing germination, cover with clear plastic lid if possible like a Jiffy Greenhouse for starter seeds. Try to keep temperature at least 50° to aid in production. Grow up a fence or arbor, do not grow against a house or roof as they can become invasive. Attracts bees and hummingbirds and other pollinators. Wash your hands after handling flowers or leaves to avoid headache. Read all information on manufacturers label for best planting and handling. Pairs well with pansy's, ornamental grasses and ferns. Adds a splash of color and dainty featherlike needle shaped leaves. Fortify privacy fencing with wooden slats or other viners like Morning Glory. Train Cypress Vine up and around fencing or poles to keep the look tidy. Vines can be gently braided to create branch-like appearance, leave enough spacing for vines to fill in and grow up to 1" thick in circumference each. Can be tied or secured for optimal patterning and decoration. Check out BH&G for design ideas with Cypress Vine. I ordered red, but they come in many colors. Hardy growers, you may trim them back in fall but I just plan to let mine go wild for a while. Hummingbirds like a medly of options, and Cypress Vine is an inexpensive addition to attract more hummingbird varieties. I'm very happy with this seller, my plants are doing great.

Already sprouted!
Received 5 days ago, soaked overnight, planted the next day, and two have sprouted this morning. I don't think one could ask for more than this. I've planted them several different ways. I'll come back to this review to update if any one of the planting methods seems to work better than the others. So far, the one in my little greenhouse sprouted as did the one in the pot out in the sun. The one in the sun looks stronger. I just planted several more right into the ground and I've transplanted the one from the greenhouse into that same bed. In my experience, Cypress Vine hates to be transplanted so we'll see about that one. I've given it a really nice bed and it's blazing hot, which they love. I've put shade over the sprouted seedling until it acclimates. My hope is that I can get a tiny start on the vine and just a few of the blooms seed and plant themselves for next spring. We still have plenty of "summer" left here in Central Florida so there is a pretty good chance. We'll see. So far ... so good!

Excellent Seeds
I recently purchased many seeds from various different sellers here on Amazon. Outside Pride by far had the most professional packaging which included sealed envelopes with pictures of the plants and germination instructions. Other vendors sent their seeds in simple zip lock style plastic bags with a plain paper label, lacking information for seeding. Now, specifically, I have had great luck with the Cypress Vine seeds. I planted them in Jiffy Peat Pellets according to the vendors instructions. I had sprouts in only 2 days! Now 8 days later, I have over a 70% germination rate with these seeds. The plants are growing quickly and will soon be ready for transplanting to the garden. I highly recommend this vendor and the Cypress Vine seeds in particular. I also purchased Canary Bird Vine and Firecracker Vine. The Canary Bird Vine has also germinated, but the germination rate is somewhat lower than with the Cypress Vine seeds. I have not planted the Firecracker Vine yet.

Love Love Love
I thought these were interesting. I put the seeds in a damp paper towel and put it in a baggie for 5 hours. I then planted them into the ground. They grew fast. Do not plant near other flowers or plants. This will take over them. I didn’t know and planted them next to my sunflowers and they totally took over my sunflower stalks. So place them farther away. They are beautiful and unique and have been nothing but healthy since I planted them. Definitely good value for the money.

A seed that grows, and grows well.
Buying seeds online you gotta be careful. Most of the ones for sale are fakes to separate you from your money, even on this reputable website, where liars abound. But having never heard of cypress vine in my life I decided to give it a try. Especially since it was not coming from abroad (overseas seeds are a sure sign of fakery). After soaking overnight in room temp water the seeds were planted. I expected a low germination rate so planted many. I was wrong, because pretty much all seeds grew! The ones I grew in pots (to grow up my driveway fence) are not doing so well compared to ones put into the ground which are now several feet long. I did plant late for this experiment, and have no sign of a single flower appearing (it is mid-Aug now). I will get them into the ground earlier next year for the real show to begin. Overall, I am impressed that a seed purchased online was not only super-fertile, but also the correct thing. Well done sellers. Update 25th Sep 2019: Pics were added of the flowers in full bloom. Red/white/pink, all colors represented.

I would like to give no stars. The seeds are not real. They gave me small stone pieces. The seeds of cypress Vines are supposed to be oval and black. They provided wrong material which was not seed but small pieces of mud or something
