Great Drum Heads
Awesome tom drum heads, used them as resonant heads for a dry ringless punchy sound when combined with Evans HD Dry batter heads.

Good Heads If You Like Fat Tone and Short Sustain
These are some of the most interesting, different heads I've used. They appears to be clear at first glance, but actually they have several "bubbles" all over the surface. I must clarify, they are not actual bubbles that are raised at all; the surface is smooth as any drumhead. There are just some air pockets in the oil layer between the plies, which is intentional and is not a defect. Weird, but not a bad thing. The sound? Warm, with short sustain. Remo Diplomats these are most definitely not. Almost a "thick" sound, IMO. Very 70's arena rock. Though I like the sound, I found it was a bit hard to get a definite tuning pitch. On the upside, however, I found that I didn't need to use Moongels, O-Rings, or any other dampener on my toms. Another plus: they are tough as nails. I've beat the crap out of these heads and they still sound the same as day one. Jazzers should stay away, but for rock, blues, and bar band drummers, these heads are great.

Durable, cool-looking and great sound
If you are a working drummer who plays rock or similar styles, this may be the drum head for you. Gigging drummers always have to walk the line between great sounding heads and heads that will last long enough to keep you from going broke. The Onyx heads are a nice compromise for drummers like us. Pros: They last a looooong time before needing to be replaced, even for heavy-hitters. They look cool. As a tom pack, they are priced well. Cheaper than competitors. While I wouldn't necessarily record with them, they sound very good in a live setting. Cons: Resonance is sacrificed a bit, due to the 2-ply construction. But if you're buying a 2-ply drum head, then you already know this. Sensitivity isn't a strong suit. I wouldn't play these in a jazz setting. Gotta hit 'em to make 'em ring. All in all, a very good live drum head for working drummers. If you're gigging on a regular basis, save your money and play a good sounding head that lasts. I promise you that the drunk people at the bar can't tell the difference between these and Remo Ambassadors that will last you one show. But your wallet can!

Great Sound, Don't Overplay
These heads are great for jazz/ fusion and, tuned right can rock. I have them on my 12x10" rack and 14x12 floor. Reso are a king ambassador that is see through. Tuning is everything. They are a P5 apart (low tom D) That old PDP m5 Sing Sing Sings and instigates a Zuit Suit Riot then flips a switch over to happily Take 5 and pay homage to a Led filled Zepplin. Don't overplayed these heads. They won't last.

Great for Pearl Rhythm Traveller toms!
I read in a Reddit post that these were great for shallow toms with no resonator heads like the ones I have on my Pearl Rhythm Traveller kit. I really thought I had outgrown this kit (the first and only I’ve ever had, I’ve had it for 18 years now) as I was getting frustrated with the dull yet annoyingly ringy tone I was getting out of them. This heads make these toms SING! Plus they sounded great from the audience videos, so they pass the performance test with flying colors. I have some moon gel on them, but they sound just as good without it. I’ll probably try them without for my next gig and compare the sound. I feel that these heads are made and marketed toward metal players which isn’t my style, but not only do these sound incredible for the more indie rock sound of my band, but they look great and not nearly as “metal drummer” as I had expected them to. The shiny finish to the coated heads really gives them a cool and unique look that fits especially well with the black finish of my kit. A week of everyday practice and a show later these are definitely showing some normal wear, but I think they’ll last me a long time. And honestly for the price I wouldn’t mind if I need to replace these after a year or two. Overall fantastic heads, highly recommend!

Deep, Full, and Easy to tune
andI've been playing for past 10 years and these are by far the best clear heads I've ever played. I play a Gretsch renown kit and was using G2 coated heads for the past year, but felt it was time for a change. First, I was extremely surprised when I opened the box and saw the "Level 360" logo printed on the head. This new technology is a drummer's God-send. I just placed the heads on, put the counter-hoop in place, and tightened the lugs. No need to stretch the head onto the shell, and tuning is super easy. Overall, I am extremely happy with these heads. The sound quality is fantastic. They really make my drums sing because of their dynamic range. If you were hesitant on buying these like I was, don't be. The EC2's are well worth the money

I’ve fitted these to my touring kit (Hayman) and they have changed the sound dramatically. Great response and tone. Superb price to match. Definite value for money.

Los utilizo como resonantes y funcionan a la perfección. Además, el costo por el paquete es muy accesible. Los recomiendo.

I was so happy that Amazon got these heads back in stock, so I ordered them right away! The thing I love about these heads is that I didn't need to put any dampening gels on them which I did have to with my Remo Pinstripes! The rest of the band loved the sound of my toms with these heads on them. I played a gig last Sat. There were 2 other bands before us, I let them use my kit, so I was able to listen to it and loved the sound of my toms!!
