I bought this as a backup in case my car battery, which is quite old, lets me down over the winter. It comes nicely packed along with the instructions, charging cable, and a very handy carry pouch. It looks sturdy and well-made, so my initial impressions were good. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. I have not used it to actually jump-start my car, but I connected it up to my battery as an initial test. It was very easy to connect, and a green light on the unit indicated that my battery was okay. However, please note that this unit does not come with a charger, and it will probably be necessary to buy one unless you have a compatible charger available. The instructions do not specify any specific charger and simply recommend a 30W fast charger.

Actually had to use this, this very morning to jump start my motorhome, works perfectly! Very pleased with it so far!

Was a bit dubious that this would work, completely dead battery on BMW 2 litre diesel.charged the unit (arrived with 80%) to 100, connected to battery terminals waited 20seconds for the glow plugs hot the start button car started instantly. Would definitely recommend.

No good at all. Failed to jump start my car a few weeks after purchase despite being charged to 100%. Only a small engine as well - 1.5 litre 3 cylinder. Returned for a refund as not fit for purpose.

If I could give 10 stars I would. I've never used one of these before so had some concerns. Reading the instructions it seemed easy enough. It came 74% charged so plugged it in and waited. My battery is new but every now and then decides to die on me. Last couple of days it just sat there. When I went to try to start my car it was easy enough to hook up. Green light on the unit came on and I decided to hit boost because my car sat for a couple days. It started right away with no hesitation. I had 30 seconds to turn the car over which is plenty of time. The cables are short but that just makes it easier to put in its case it comes with and while hooked up to the car there are no long cables all over the place. So happy my car started. I did let it run a bit to make sure it kept running.

Excellent product, really has helped. Very easy to use, car starts right up, holds the charge well.
