Small tablets and easy to chew and swallow: flavour was good and not chalky. Works very quickly and also works with some other foods that cause bloating. I’ve been using them for months and they worked from the start.

I can now eat pizza, ice cream, and even drink milkshakes without regret. I take one pill just before eating, and I’ve had zero digestive issues afterward. No aftertaste or weird smell. The pills are small, easy to swallow, and don’t leave any aftertaste. Fast-acting. I usually take it 5–10 minutes before eating dairy, and it kicks in quickly. Reliable. Unlike some brands where you never know if they’ll work or not, this one has been consistent every time I’ve used it. ⚠️ A Few Notes: You do need to take the pill right before eating dairy – not 30 minutes before or after. Timing matters. For very heavy dairy meals (like a big cheesy lasagna), I sometimes take two pills to be safe. Not a cure – just a great workaround. It doesn’t “heal” lactose intolerance; it just helps your body deal with it better. Bottom Line: If you’re lactose intolerant and tired of skipping out on your favorite foods, give these a try. If you compare prices this is the cheaper option (the Boots version is 6.9 gbp for 60 tablets), so excellent value. The pills are small and chewable, you you don't need to be a goose to swallow it. The taste and texture is weird and chalky and the sweetener makes it a little bit strange before savoury meals. Didn't experience any side effects, it just works. Chew 2 tablets before a meal, that's how easy it is. (For those who didn't notice the maximum daily allowed dose is 6 pills, which is plenty enough.)

Have previously used these to help with a lactose intolerance - definitely seems to help with bloating (though I find I need to take 3 rather than 2). Bought another batch when I ran out and immediately noticed the taste was different and quite unpleasant - I initially thought I'd got at batch that was somehow bad or out of date, until I checked and spotted the "new improved formulation" banner. These used to taste a bit like the old fizzers sweets you'd get, now they are much sharper and somehow also chalkier at the same time. As far as I can tell they still work for the lactose but I really have to just swallow them down with water quickly now because the taste is so odd. Not ideal. I will look at other brands next time.

These have been a game changer! It took me a while to work out that I was lactose intolerant after my stroke three years ago and I have missed dairy since then… especially cheese! I was skeptical at first but bought some Brie and took two tablets before eating it. There were no ill effects either immediately or the next day!!! The tablets are pleasant tasting and easy to chew. Since then I have slowly reintroduced dairy products back into my diet taking two tablets just before. A couple of times I’ve forgotten and panicked but I’ve found that if I take these as soon as I remember they are just as effective. I still have dairy free days but this product means I don’t have to check packaging as carefully before I buy food anymore. The amount of food that contains milk as an ingredient is astounding! The only downside (and mentioned in another review) is that it is not clear what the maximum dose in 24 hours is or how long two tablets are effective for. But that’s a small price to pay if I can enjoy brie again!!

I’ve had lactose intolerance for a while and have tried a couple of different brands. Some of them are more well-known brands and some of them are generic. I never had really noticed a difference between them and that’s why I kept trying different ones. They are easy to chew and you don’t get that powdery taste in your mouth that you get from other brands. I have also had much less stomach discomfort and have been able to enjoy foods that I’ve had to avoid in recent years. I like the raspberry flavor, but it’s not really something that sticks out once you start eating. I’ve also found that I don’t always need to use the recommended amount based on what I am eating, which is a great value for the money spent.

These work on adults and children in my family. Will buy again. Love chewable.

Getting good results using these enzymes before eating cheese and ice cream. Way less discomfort from the dairy product because I’m doing so.

Not only did these work better than a more known brand, rhymes with “act aid” but they tasted great. Past tense, tasted. The new formula was unnecessary. They now taste chalky. Now they also contain sorbitol and 2 of my 3 lactose intolerant children are also sorbitol intolerant. This new formula will not work for them. Why change a good thing? There truly was no need to change the formula other than the company trying to cut costs. It’s a shame. I can no longer give this to my kids. -*************************** **************** Update 6/23/25 My last order I jokingly received a wee bottle of 60 count for the price of the 120 count. The listing is for 120 count… but surprise, I received a 60 count and the barcode/upc is the exact same as the 120 count… 😂 😡 Update 7/13/26 After my last review, the company once again changed the formula and it tastes so much better, maybe even better than before. I’m on a subscription again and so far these have not failed. No longer chalky, no longer containing sorbitol, just 5 simple ingredients. The main lactase, and 4 others for texture flavor, freshness and taste. Well done Milkaid!

I’ve been pleased with these lactose pills. I was looking for something less expensive than the big name brand pills that they sell. They’re so expensive so I thought I would give these a try because they were more affordable. They seem to be very effective, just as good as the other brand that I was buying. They are chewable and they actually taste good with no chalky after taste. The quality and effectiveness of these pills have met my standards and I’ll continue to buy these over the other brand.
