Will cook faster than instructions (or you can add more water as you check how it's doing). I preferred not cooking the full time. Rice would retain some of its crunchiness/chewishness. Comes out and tastes excellent.

I discovered black rice a couple years ago and everyone I share it with is hooked. Pricier than Chinese black rice but I’ve spent time in China and know many expats there. They won’t touch food from China. This is also organic.

It goes well with tomato puree (Don't waste your money on tomato sauces, most of which add sugar and salt and spices that kill the pure tomato flavor.) and mozzarella cheese (which you can get with microbial enzymes if you have moral objections to killing animals for food (slaughterhouse enzymes are in most cheeses).
