This is one of those pantry staples I always like to have at home. I cook rice pretty often, and this Mahatma extra-long-grain rice has been really reliable. It cooks up nice and fluffy, and the grains stay separate instead of getting sticky or mushy. I’ve used it for everything—plain rice, fried rice, and even with soups—and it turns out well every time. The 5-pound bag is a good size for regular use. It lasts a while but is still easy to store in the kitchen. I also appreciate that it’s gluten-free and non-GMO, which is a nice bonus. There’s no strong smell, and the rice looks clean with very few broken pieces. Just rinse, cook, and it comes out great. Nothing fancy, just good, dependable rice that does exactly what you need.
