Love white rice as a starch. It's really easy to cook in the microwave. An over sized bowl with equal parts rice and water. Oil and salt. 13:33. Rinsing is easy with my hand over the sink after filling my microwave bowl with rice and water. Just tip the bowl and hold the rice in place. Then add oil and salt. Body Builder's or athletes always recommend! MAHATMA tastes great!

I usually make a 2.5 cup "cooked" portion for myself. I use 'salt, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, dried parsley, Cajun seasoning, red pepper flakes and olive oil. Add some beans and/or smoked sausage and I'll tell ya...makes a great meal. Let all that come to a boil and then add the rinsed rice and cook for about 15-20 minutes on low heat or until water is absorbed then let sit for five minutes and then dig in. Next time I make it ill leave a photo.
