Highly effective remedy to unwind & relax
I've been using flower essences & Bach remedies for 20 years. I swear by the Rescue Remedy & it works. It works so naturally that you don't notice it has worked,it's subtle & in natural in rhythm with your body. Many times I was stressed out & I took it & I wasn't sedated but I felt back to my normal self. So I do know that Rescue Remedy works. I was extremely agitated tonight & I tried this & it REALLY helped to calm me down. As for sleep, don't expect miracles to make you nod off but it'll certainly a big difference to calm you down to help you sleep. Perhaps coupled with some slow deep breathing through the belly (never breathe through chest as that exasperates the issue). I find alternate nose (yogic) breathing extremely helpful for both sleep & relaxation. It's certainly a good remedy for anxiety. As well as 4-4-4 breathing. But as an insomniac, it didn't help me to nod off. Just relaxed me. The White Chestnut added to the Rescue Remedy formula (which is for unwinding) helps to stop stuff on your mind. This is the same formula as Rescue Remedy minus the alcohol (brandy used for preservation) & a raspberry flavour. Tbh I didn't like the flavour but it's not too strong & not too bad but not pleasant enough for children to like it. On the positive side, it says it's made with natural flavouring so that's a bonus. I remember buying Rescue Remedy at £3-4 & now they've hiked yo the price so much it has out me off buying it. As well as the individual essences. (Rescue Remedy is made of 5 individual essences & nighttime formula with 6 essences). Plus I thought they're an ethical company so don't know the reason for such a sharp increase in price. The pastilles definitely helped too but contain artificial sugar which I'm not happy about. It's damaging to the brain (in USA, they proved that it causes brain damage but couldn't stop them as they're too powerful & can buy into the system).

So Does it “Work”?
Do any of these chemically make someone sleepy? No. There is no known biological or neurological mechanism by which these ingredients induce sleep. They do not: • Alter brain chemistry • Increase sleep pressure • Affect circadian rhythm • Act on GABA, histamine, or melatonin pathways From a medical and pharmacological standpoint, they cannot make someone sleepy. So does it “work”? Here’s the honest breakdown: • Scientifically: It performs no better than placebo in controlled studies. • In real life: Some parents swear by it — not because of the drops themselves, but because: • The bedtime routine becomes calmer • The child expects to relax • Parents act more settled and reassuring • Anxiety reduces, which can help sleep indirectly

Hasn't worked for us
My daughter has taken the drops so the taste must be ok however it has done nothing for her sleep. She is still up and about even if we have given her more than the 4 drops. We have tried different times and different dosage as well as multi doses early in the evening. It could be great for some people just not for us unfortunately.

Effective for family use
I have been using flower essence for a few decades and it is a part of my at home pharmacy. Rescue remedy here consist of a mixture of 6 flower essences. Ususally flower essences are made with alcohol, but this one is sweet in glycerine. The taste of it is very sweet, and I am not quite used to the sweetness if used neat. I will recommend to add it into a bit of water to sip or drink. Upon ingesting a few drops, I feel happy and uplifted immediately. It will have actue effect when one is in big emotions or pain. So it is good for any emergency use. As well, it will calm you down so it is good for a good night's sleep. Before when my kids were young I will use rescue remedy when they are upset or not feeling well or had a tantrum. And the effect is immediate. I will keep this remedy for general use and just in case use. It is also very good when one has sudden outbreaks of emotions, as this will help to calm and relax. It is slightly scented and sweet, so any kids will be happy to use. This is one remedy that I recommend every family to keep one on hand.

Worst night's sleep in a long time, was it just coincidence, I hope so!
What you see in their photos is what you get. Best before Feb 2027. Just let this sink in a mo - £109.90 per 100ml - wowzer! I used to use rescue remedy for exams, and yes it did seem to work, calm me down, also for long distance driving, now I will try this because sleep is elusive with 24/7 tinnitus (they say 'suitable for all the family' on the bottle, which I knew already by looking at the blend, it is the same as one I had before, but not targetting kids - they just made it non alcohol and added the raspberry to be more kiddy-friendly). I used it last night, and had a very bad sleep, woke four times, so, do I try it again, or.... hmmmm. Price at the time of this review was £11
