Great product to have on hand just in case , and easy to administer as Charcoal products are messy. Had to give to one of my dogs as I suspected they got into something. Helped him get everything out.

I keep this in my arsenal of first aid for pets that can be taken care of at home and it worked well when my dog ate chocolate. This does not replace the expert care of a vet for a pet that is truly in danger. I bought this preemptively after I had to come home early from a trip when my dog sitter called me from the vet because my youngest dog had gotten into silica beads. I SWEAR… he is on a mission to find and eat every toxic thing he can! I can’t keep houseplants anymore because he’ll find a way to nibble them, no matter how high off the ground they are. More recently, I had brought four pieces of 70% dark chocolate caramels to bring to a girls’ night and placed them on the counter. While I was getting changed, I heard a little crinkling and KNEW that my older, taller dog had managed to stretch his little body (both dogs are Cavalier King Charles Spaniels) and get his tiny mouth on them. I ran from my room to find him licking his lips and getting ready to eat the last two. I remembered this charcoal in my home first aid kit and was a little worried about getting it into him without a syringe. I ended up mixing it as a quick marinade with some of his dehydrated food, and he happily swallowed it down. Happy to report that it kept him from vomiting or having diarrhea, and it worked its way out of his system in a day in black stool that was normal in shape and consistency! I honestly hope that I don't have to use this often, but it provides me with a sense of security just in case my mischievous fur-iends pull a fast one on me!

I bought this for emergencies with my pets. Luckily I have not had to use it. Small convenient size and is perfect to keep on hand.
