Love the taste. I've tried so many protein powders over the years and hated most especially when blended with water. This one is a clear winner. I just wish it was a little thicker but it checks all of the other boxes. Elated to have found this new flavor. I prefer this one over the chocolate flavor but both flavors of the Animal Protein Powder are great!!! I'll try the vanilla next. Also mixes great with a little milk frother. I prefer the one with the dual coil whisk which is super cheap and does a great job without clumping. No mixer cups or blenders to wash if you're like me and drink it plain. You can get one on Amazon. Just do a search for a Milk Frother Dual Coil Whisk on Amazon. You can get one for under $20 or get a mini hand blender also for under $20 UPDATE: Frother's batteries never lasted long after replacement, and then the frother stopped working so I just bought a Turelar Immersion Blender (Handheld). It's the perfect blender for me since I don't make smoothies but mix my shake plain with just ice-cold water. This blender is so easy to use. Just keep it on the bottom of the cup/container. On my first try I made a mess. The videos show how to use and clean it which is super simple. I would definitely get this over the frother since it blends the shake so perfectly and has a cord so that no batteries are needed. It is also on sale for under $20 on Amazon right now (as of 4/30/2026). There are also more expensive ones if you want one of those instead. Hope that helps.

Having started on Muscle Milk and hitting most of the top brands over the years and still haven't tested them all but working on it. I will preface by telling about some top known brands and finish with this one. Muscle milk, looks like you get a lot but the servings are based on 2 scoops to get the 25 grams protein and ends up not being as low cost as you would first think. Optimum Nutrition, too watery no matter what and the prices doing more price hike loops than all roller coasters in America combined, Plus most of their flavors are always on the bland or weak side. C4 celluco, Tastes great but then their is the price fluctuation and frequent out of stock issues, and I resorted to subscribing to their in house delivery and ended up with same out of stock issues, shipping issues and what killed it was their website issues when trying to change subscription settings. So lets get to the core of why I gave this 5 stars. Price has been rather steady with slight price jumps but not as erratic as the other brands. 64 servings out of a 4 pound jug costs less than other brands with few more servings out of 5 pound jugs. Poweder smells great on opening and mixes better than optimum nutrition, cellucor or few more others that sell more and I use a frother and the stuff didn't clump and didn't sci to the frother and took me half the time it takes to blend C4 reeses or optimum extreme milk chocolate. First taste, that is the big one. First taste locked me in in a split second. Not too sweet and not overpowering. A very mellow sweet with mellow flavor that can not go wrong and shouldn't become a victim of flavor fatigue. The consistency is spot on, not watery and not so thick it takes forever to get the last bit to finally flow out of the shaker. IMHO the strawberry flavor is the right one to make smoothies with since it isn't too sweet and not overbearing on flavor. In 2 weeks from date of this review I will get the Cookies and cream and will post my reviews on that one as an update to this one.

This protein is pretty tasty, and dissolves easily in water or milk. As everyone knows, protein is all the rage these days. This is welcome after a workout. You'll enjoy it for the taste and price.

Good, a little sweet. Has a slight chemical taste. Mixes well.
