Excellent camera bought it for taking photos of the moon

Still getting used to the camera but so far I have no issues, yes it is a big camera but it is not as heavy as I thought it would be. A sturdy tripod is required when using the zoom at full length.

A great camera but have found it hard to focus using maximum zoom both in manual and auto focus. I’ve now gotten myself a good stable tripod, so perhaps that will improve. If you are a good to pro photographer, I wouldn’t recommend this camera as there’s not a lot of variables for you to play with, but for an amateur/novice/fair photographer, you will get a lot from this camera as it automates most things for you to play with zooms etc as well as getting good everyday photos with the ability to gradually learning how to do things with out the benefit of auto.Be warned though, it’s big and heavy, but not as big and heavy as a camera and all the separate lenses.

My husband had the 950 and upgraded, he is really happy with the 1100. Came when it said,no problems.

The camera had been opened and repacked poorly. The menus were all set to Chinese which at the very least the camera had been switched on. The camera seems to work well but if I buy a new camera I expect to get a new camera not one that has been unboxed. I’ll test this for a few days to see if there is anything wrong with it, if there is, it’s being returned.No English instructions, no warranty card includedNot a happy customer here…

Perfect birding companion. So far, exclusively used in bird mode and find it’s easy and quick to get good pics for confirming sightings later and often wind up with a beautiful shot, especially in good light. Bought a bigger, more ergonomic strap and can carry it and my binoculars, with no problem. The zoom reach is insane and plenty stable, hand held for me. First Merlin pic was from pretty close in good, low evening light. Second was from very far away and overcast but plenty good to get a positive ID. Also snapped an Osprey just as it started to move, so you can get in focus action but best to have the stationary bird in focus first. Exceeded my expectations for the price, amazing tech that’s fun to use.
