Mine came brand new.
Well, what I received was a brand new pistol case in excellent condition, that looked like it was factory wrapped, and closed good, and and had both foam inserts. Perfectly good. Hope this helps for anyone wanting this case. PART TWO- about a week or so after the review I just gave, I ordered another one. The SECOND one came new,,complete, new in appearance, but no wrapping. No scratches or signs of use, just no plastic wrapping still worth it. Hope this helps someone.

Gets The Job Done
It works! Sloppy fitment but it's genuine OEM equivalent. Sadly Smith isn't what it used to be years ago. Buy pre-2000's Smith only because they are better in almost every way. Thanks, and God Bless ❤️

Perfect case for my M&P pistol that came in a cardboard box.
The case is nice and roomy, plenty of space for my M&P compact and four or five magazines. Has room behind the foam on the top lid for the manual and lock just like the padded cases some M&Ps pistols come with. I wish Smith & Wesson would ship all of their pistols with these cases, but for those that don't come with them this case is a great option.
