great ADSB setup but consider upgrading the antennas
I've had my Raspberry Pi running this pair of N3 SDR radios 24x7 for over 3 years now streaming to ADSB Exchange and it's been rock solid. The antennas that come with it aren't great but very functional. I have used the N3 radios before and picked up this bundle when I was looking to get more of them. I don't know if it's worth the $95 that it's listed at currently. It was only $65 when I bought it and would have bought another bundle if it was still around that price. I'm a big fan of the NESDR Nano 3 because of it's compact size.

For General SDR Use These Are Fantastic
I now have 12 of these deployed in production, to capture anywhere from 140MHz to 900MHz, depending on location, department, ect. They have all been flawless in their quality and thermal design. They get hot, not enough to burn, but so it would be very uncomfortable to keep your hand on them for any amount of time. Every single one I've gotten has worked out of the box, and their tracking and offset has usually been within 50Hz (Yes, Hz, not kHz, not MHz) of where it's tuned too. These are very good for production applications and I highly recommend them if you need a dependable SDR. Capturing at the full 3.2MHz is again no problem at all.

Lots of doo-dads...
Lots of nifty little doo-dads to add to your SDR accessory kit or to go from the SDR and have a feed-throu antenna port in a case. The Y-cable does not make sence, seems like that would be very lossy directly coupling two SDRs together with a common antenna. The cables seem to be decently constructed though. The SDR's them selves are sandwiched into aluminum, they DEFINITELY need the heatsink that is included, perhaps something even more, they get HOT! The antennas are a different story. Not very efficient, not really tuned for ADS-B... not really tuned for anything - they de-tune under a lot of circumstances - antenna angular position, whats placed near, what case is used on the RPi etc. Best is to use a remote USB base and stick the unit upright with the usb connector straight down and antenna straight up with nothing around it. Sensitivity is OK at that point. When using a dedicated, specifically tuned gain antenna outdoors, these little things are sweet for ADS-B

Awesome little receivers
I'm very impressed with these devices!! I am using them with PlanePlotter through the RTL1090 interface and they work great! Easy to set up and had them up and running in minutes. I've just ordered some LNA's and bandpass filters to see just how good they can get but even without them, I am easily tracking targets typically to around 25 nautical mile range and sometimes as far as 64. The amps and filters are an attempt to see if I can get more local targets at low altitude than I presently see but I am guessing there will come some increase in range as well.

Great radios for Stratux
Great radios for Stratux, works out of the box, no need to tune. Great reception with the long antenna. Runs pretty cool, not hot to the touch. The Raspberry runs at normal temp (50c).

Much better than expected
The included y splitter and an antenna dual tuned for 978/1090 works great. Picking up planes from 45nm away, indoors, in a closet. Using the image from adsb.im these took 10 minutes to set up. I literally spent longer checking the swr of the antenna with a nanovna (I'm an absolute beginner). Don't use a pi, just buy a mini pc with windows 11 and install any Linux distro on it.

Great Product and fit!
I am giving it three stars because the 978 UAT radio did not work. When I SSH into the raspberry pi and and use the tool sdr-tool.sh the 978 radio was not able to be seen. I tried 2 different USB ports and both antennas and nothing worked on that radio. The 1090 radio worked just fine and was able to be adjusted with the sdr-tool.sh and I could see different planes etc. I will update my reviews when I get my replacement order and find that everything works. Everything else in the kit was great and the fit and finish was excellent! I took the Stratux out and it connected to Foreflight and I could see different planes with the 1090 radio.

Great product
Using two of these with SDR software to receive public safety channels, decode NOAA satellite passes, and more. They seem to be slightly better than the generic RTL dongles. Very satisfied with the units themselves and the assorted antennas and connectors were a plus. Highly recommend.

Utilisation dans un Stratus Europe. Le module 1090 fonctionne, je vois les Liners quant il y en a; pour le 686, je ne sais pas car il n'y a pas de planeur ร cette pรฉriode.

I bought this to build my Flightware Feeder. It works really well. The device is easy to setup, follow the Linux/Ubuntu instructions from their website, just till the point rtl-sdr is installed, then switch to the Piaware installation instructions. The device does get hot, but not burning hot, doesn't melt plastic. The provided heatsink is useful. Have it running for almost two weeks now, and still doing well.
