Samsung Galaxy S25, 128GB, Silver Shadow - Unlocked (Renewed)

The renewed Galaxy S25 I received has been flawless in terms of appearance, not even a small scratch or blemish on the frame, let alone the screen. Transfering data was a breeze as usual, the phone is very quick and, most importantly, its cell radio is fully reliable and has perfect reception even at low signal strength, unlike the one in my previous Samsung phone (S23). Audio and camera image quality are just like new, no problems with either so far. Charging is reliable and quick as expected, both wired and wireless, and the phone doesn't heat up too much while charging: the car that often paused wireless charging on my previous phone due to excessive heat, is much happier with this unit. Finally, battery life is excellent, there doesn't seem to be any degradation compared to new. All in all, my initial impressions after a week or so are 100% positive, this is a well engineered and carefully owned unit that I hope will last forever.

I almost didn’t buy this phone because of some reviews claiming it arrived locked. I’m extremely glad I went ahead with the purchase — this was one of the best Amazon Renewed experiences I’ve had. First, the phone itself is excellent quality. It looks brand new, not refurbished. No scratches, no signs of wear, strong battery life, and smooth performance right out of the box. Now, about the unlocking complaints — especially important to clarify: This phone was sent to Asia, and it was still very easily unlocked by simply following the clear directions included in the box. The paperwork inside explicitly states that you do not need to pay extra to unlock the phone and that if the device arrives locked, you should contact the company directly. I did exactly that. Their customer service was beyond helpful — quick response, simple instructions, and the phone was unlocked very fast with zero hassle. The process was straightforward and worked exactly as promised, even for international use. After going through this myself, it’s clear that many of the negative reviews come from people who: • Didn’t read the papers included in the box • Didn’t contact the seller • Or assumed the phone was permanently locked without following the provided steps If you follow the directions they give you, the process is quick, easy, and stress-free. This company clearly stands behind their product. The phone quality is outstanding, and their customer service is truly top-tier — especially impressive given that this was handled across regions. I purchased a what was advertised as an UNLOCKED Samsung Galaxy S25 in September 2025. The phone worked fine for a few months and then became locked after a software update in January 2026, just outside of the refund window. I was able to rollback the update to a previous version so that I could use the phone with a SIM card again, but after waiting over a month to update my phone I attempted to do another software update. That time, the update changed the Bit number of my phone and I was no longer able to rollback the update to a compatible older version. Realizing that my phone is useless, I reached out to the seller. They took days to actually offer a solution, and then the solution they recommended was pointless because my phone is locked in a way that is preventing me from viewing the IMEI number. I have now requested a refund, as Re-Cell should have sent me a fully UNLOCKED phone and they did not do that, but I have received the same response three times in a row now: "Thank you for reaching out. At this time, this is our recommended course of action. We appreciate your understanding regarding the out-of-warranty item." I will now be issuing a chargeback so that I can get my money returned and buy a phone that is not completely worthless.

There's a teeny teeny tiny ding on the lcd screen. I didn't notice it until I applied the screen protector. I'm OCD and I almost didn't see it. The other phone I purchased from this seller WAS perfect. The battery life is excellent on both phones. I'm thrilled with my purchase! It has the speed and storage I wanted at a discounted price. I searched for weeks, literally. This was the best deal I found and the phones are near perfect.

I was worried when I first received the phone because deep in the settings I found there was a configuration that stated the carrier was locked. However, there is a Carrier Reset option which cleared the setting. I was able to get the phone added to my carrier without any issues. The phone is in great shape and has been working like new.

So I was very apprehensive about buying this phone because of all the negative reviews. However, I found this phone in excellent condition. After opening package and inspecting its current appearance, no visible problems or concerns, and screen was in perfect shape. Not one scratch! I could not believe this was a used phone. Although the color is nice, I really don't care as it would be in a case anyways. If only they made clear cases with camera privacy on both sides, I looked hard and couldn't find, or missing one of the three personal caveats of my picky nature. Now to put it to is it locked test; I contacted my (US) service provider and had no issues with 1st IMEI (there are 2 virtual SIMs). I am sure there wouldn't be a problem with second one either, although I have not tried it either, but I am confident of it working. The next concern was updating it. A reviewer said he updated it and it had bricked and he couldn't roll it back. I began updating it and it took update without any issues. It was kind of scary at first because it put lock screen clock to default out of box setting, but once i unlocked device and locked again as a test, it reverted it to my setting. It seems to do this with every security update (there were 4) but goes back to way you set it when locking device. Not too sure what person is saying, maybe their phone was an outlier, but it took updates well and very quickly too. I was graduating from Samsung A21 from 2019, and would have kept using if I had not run out of space. The only complaint about A21 is the camera sucks. The stabilization sucked, almost impossible to get a good shot especially if there was motion from environment, or just me. It was usually me though so it made it difficult to take pics of documents or any kind of text. This phone camera eliminates all that, the camera is amazing especially in low light conditions, stabilizes photo in my often shaky hands. The visual and video quality is amazing, no Ai used. Battery life is very comparable to A21 so no notable difference there and happy with it. I rarely get past 40% a day before charging. I play a game that used to suck all the juice up, where same game plays more efficiently. Setup and transferring data from other phone was fairly easy, time is only enemy here, took about an hour for 55gigs wirelessly. I could have used cable, but just kept them close instead (The missing instructions in box would have made this much easier to do as well). Overall the seller has sold me an excellent phone and is very fast allowing me to get phone very next day before noon. I took off 1 Star due to the missing instructions other reviewers reporting they received them with their phones. Transferring data was confusing to learn at first and having those instructions would have made it seamless, rather than having to research it on internet. I have had phone for about a month now, will update if any issues.

My phone arrived unlocked, but not flashed with the correct unlocked software, so it still said Verizon when it was rebooted. I contacted SoonerSoft's customer service text/email and right away they helped me figure out what was wrong, and offered to send a correctly software-adjusted replacement in the color of my choice! No annoying AI or chatbot, just a very friendly human. Very generous too, especially with other colors often being a little more expensive and my problem not being very serious at all! I would absolutely trust this seller for future refurbished electronics. As for the phone itself, the camera is quite solid, and very quick (the awful slow shutter speed of older Samsung phones seems to be fixed here.) The screen quality is very nice, nothing unexpected there, and it is super fast to touch unlock. Most surprising to me was that the battery life is phenomenal. I had expected a mediocre battery life based on reviews and the size of the cell, but battery diagnostic apps found zero degradation and the efficient chip gives me 7 to 8 hours of Screen On Time (SOT) every day even with many calls, light gaming, and a lot of web browsing, even without any sort of battery saver mode. It never overheats, and honestly rarely even warms up at all. This is really a fantastic phone, and probably the best refurbished deal out there - and that's without talking about how amazingly thin and light it is. You won't want to go back to a slab phone like any of the Ultras after trying this for an hour.

When I bought the phone it was unlocked. After a software update from the manufacturer, the phone has become unusable. After taking to both my carrier and Samsung twice it turns out it's now locked to a carrier (Verizon). I spoke with Verizon who stated that the previous owner broke their contract so they won't be unlocking the phone. I contacted the seller who tried to tell me that it is indeed unlocked, but the software update just reverted it back to the old carrier. They sent me instructions that required downloading two different applications on to a PC, then hooking my phone to it and what not. For one thing, I don't own a PC, for another thing, when buying an unlocked phone you shouldn't have to go back in to it to "unlock" it yourself. And, this just seems like a work around. I told the owner that I was told by Samsung, my carrier, and Verizon that this phone is locked to Verizon and he "assured" me this wasn't the case. I think Verizon would know. Just be weary of buying an "unlocked" phone. It might be temporarily unlocked but a software update could have you left with a phone that's only good as a tiny tablet with no phone capabilities.
