Daughter of Smoke and Bone Trilogy Collection Laini Taylor 3 Books Set Paperback – January 1, 2015

The books are all in pristine shape and are as expected. The box also didn’t get damaged during shipping, so that looks good too!

I love this series don't get me wrong it just sucks that the book came damaged and misprinted

I was worried cause of all the misprint and ink blotch issues others had but was pleased to find my set was fine. I did have ink issues in book 2 mainly but it was only a few pages and it was in the margins and obscured no words. The misprint in book 3 on page 440 seems to have been fixed too since mine is in proper order and flipping through the sample text I took from the page didn’t show up elsewhere earlier in the book. I’m excited to read these!

What a phenomenal plot full of twists and turns! I laughed, I cried, I had anxiety, and there were moments when I was proud. The characters are so well-developed and it’s such a refreshing tale where love and hope prevail. I love the message of tolerance and acceptance of interracial relationships. It’s really just beautifully done. I wish there was more 😭

So far these books are wonderful. Im reading them because I fell in love with the strange the dreamer duology. This story is amazing so far, but there's an ink blot at the end of the first book. Probably (hopefully) not in all the copies.

Books are amazing, but I’m reading one of them for the first time and the ink is messed up on several pages. It’s worse on some pages compared to others.

Tenho que confessar que mais de 10 anos atrás no auge do hype dessa série aqui no Brasil eu não li porque achava as capas muito feias, os livros não estavam disponíveis na biblioteca da minha escola e eu nem sonhava com a existência de e-books. Naquela época comprar um livro era um investimento GIGANTE pra mim, então não comprava livros feios e pronto.Aí em 2020, pré pandemia, quando a laini taylor postou as capas dessa edição no twitter eu imediatamente apaixonei pela arte nova. Comprei o box na primeira promoção pós lançamento (que demorou horrores devido ao corona) e terminei de ler a série agora.Primeiramente, sobre o box em si, a qualidade da caixa é boa, e os livros são aqueles paperbacks com a lombada molinha deliciosos de ler 10/10. O nível de inglês pra ler eu diria que é intermediário, a Laini Taylor tem uma prosa peculiar e um vocabulário mais extenso.Quanto aos livros, a vontade é de dar um soco na Eu adolescente que deixou de ler essa série por causa da capa. A autora entrega tudo e um pouco mais, a premissa é espetacular, a série em si não é impecável, mas é excelente, e mais do que isso, é essencial para fãs de fantasia jovem/novo adulto. Feita de fumaça e osso é definitivamente um dos cânones do gênero, não dá pra ignorar o quanto influenciou tudo que veio depois, então se você é fã de fantasia YA, essa 100% é uma leitura obrigatória.

They arrived pretty fast and the covers are gorgeous, but they came a little bit damaged, and the second book looks kinda brown (they're supposed to be black). The Amazon box is the only protection they have and it's pretty tight so if the box gets damage the books get damage. There's also a white spot that seems to be a print error.But I'm happy with my purchase and I totally recommend these books.

Such a beautiful box set ! Came in tact & without any damage - very happy.REVIEW OF SERIES: 5 ⭐Laini Taylor is a magician.Her mind is simply: pure magic. Because I feel as though I have been blessed by something so unfathomably ethereal & otherworldly that it cannot simply be watered down to something like ‘great writing’ or even ‘creative genius’.This series, from the outside, seems a lot like any other urban fantasy, but oh boy did I quickly realise that it truly was not.I don’t know if I own enough words in my vocabulary to describe the things that Ms Taylor makes me feel. This story is undeniably incredible & magical (oop, there’s that word again).You know that feeling you get when the two love interests are finally building up enough courage to confess their feelings for each other? You can feel your heart swelling, there’s a little burn behind your eyes (tears of relief & happiness: ‘Finally! Yes! They’re gonna PASH!’). This is the constant state that I remained in the entire time of my joyous reading experience.Never have I read something that left me awe-struck three times over until now. I really took my time with this one because I didn’t want it to end & now my heart is aching at its conclusion.If you like Ms Taylor’s other work (or you’re just a human living on earth) then do yourself a service & give this one a go 🙌🏼

O box chegou no plástico e em perfeito estado. Os livros também. As capas tem uma textura mais rugosa, diferente do que vemos em livros gringos, mas não me incomodou. As folhas são amareladas, finas. No geral é um livro mais 'molinho' mas isso não diminui a qualidade pra mim. No todo, tanto o box quanto as capas são ainda mais lindas pessoalmente.

The books are great! But the third book has a major printing error. It is RIGHT in the crucial party where everything comes together, and instead of having the correct text, it has a chunk of text from earlier in the book. And then at the end of that, the whole book has moved on, but now I have no idea what actually happened. And this was during the most important part of the third book in the trilogy. So I highly recommend the series, but don't buy this box set edition because it is really disappointing to miss out on that culmination OF THREE BOOKS with a misprint.
