They each make a different sound. These are pretty cool. Be aware, there is no off switch or volume button and they do not light up.

Teachers—Work great in classroom activities!
I like that each buzzer makes a different sound so I know which group buzzed in first. They use batteries (3 AAA each) so no cords or plugs to worry about. Loud enough to hear in the classroom but not so loud to disrupt the classrooms next door. Fun and easy to use!

Great for our holiday Family Feud game. Only thing is that the noises are a bit annoying hearing them over and over again - but GREAT FUN and lots of laughs.
