Will cokin square filter infrared creative kit fit my cannon eds 40d camera?

The filter is designed to go in front of the lens through an adapter ring. This is independent of which camera you use. The kit will fit any lens as long as you have the appropriately adapter ring. For example, if the front of your lens takes a 58mm filter, then you need a 58mm filter to cokin P adapter ring (they are a few dollars each and nothing fancy). That said, if the front element size is in the high 60's and 70's and/or is a wide angle lens, you may want to check the recommendation from Cokin so you don't get dark corners.
