UA pants review
Very nice pants, great fit. The size is true to fit.

Best water resistant/dry fit pants I’ve ever had
Best pants for the Texas summers. Very flexible and lightweight. The only issue I have is that the rear pockets stitching disappears after a while. I do wash these pants twice a week, and I put a lot of use on it.

Inconsistent sizing
Great comfortable pants. I ordered 4 pair in the same size and one is really small compared to the others. It still reads the same size and the waist is the same but the legs are very tight. The other 3 are fine.

If you are interested in these pants, you might want to take 2 minutes to read my review. I am hoping to be able to advise on the actual sizing and features of these pants. Forward I have looked at the complete line of UA pants for 2026 (online), and have seen the UA Enduro Elite pants (on the rack). After reading some reviews, I chose the UA Defenfer Pants, as I am needing pants with a UPF. This is my experience. Presentation Upon receiving the pants I knew I would be getting a polyester pants (with elastane), but (as one reviewer mentioned) I did not know what the 13% elastase added in would do to the fabric. Also previously mentioned), I was surprised by the “complete” 4-way stretch material. I could tell by the elastane being added in, that these pants offer a UPF50, or more. The material is like a thick golf shirt material., and breathes nicely. These are definitely light in total weight, and are considered as a summer pant, (or at the best late spring/early fall). Fit The construction of the knees portion of the pants are in a (what I’ll call) an “across” seam design, allowing for full movement, (great addition), something I’ve not seen on my previous hiking pants with articulating knees sewn in. These pants slightly drape more than contour, as there is literally no rigidity in the material. The silhouette is still there, as the cut is a loose fit, but not too loose. Pockets The pockets (2-front/2-back) are deeper than most pants, and have no zippers, but are wide enough for a large hand, and the quality of the sewing is there, also, all inner pocket material is good (par with other hiking pants). Front pocket design is nice look/easy access (similar to jeans) and I’m pretty sure nothing will fall out. Right front pocket has a second layer of material layer of material on the top lip. A good idea as the right hand side usually get the most wear. There is 1 full sized side leg pocket (with zipper) on the side of the right leg (below the front right hand pocket) that can fit a large hand, or larger cell phone. Waist The zipper seems to be average quality. The same quality of zipper is used in the front zipper, and the front waist closure is a no-sew, rivet-in button. Waist sizing is exactly as tagged size. Waistband is not as stretchy as I like (seemed to be about 1/4 inch on each side. I found the waist to fit a bit snug, and the 1/2 inch of total adjustment was no where near enough. I had to size up in the waist (as most pants are actually around 2 or inches larger in the waist). No belt is supplied (as in the picture). Inseam Inseam length is exactly as tagged size). There is a (smaller sized) gusset sewn into the crouch. Color The color of the material is good, bright, and consistent (I bought, 1 pair of each black and dark blue). I can’t see where it would fade. I might update my review if I see any fading after some washes. I hope this will help anyone trying to determine if these are the right choice.
